Chapter 6: Unexpected Surprises

Riley's POV

"You gave him our blood! Are you crazy?! Why would you do that?!" Leo was yelling at Donnie for being my savior again. "I did it to save Riley! She was being held hostage by Bishop and Stockman!" Donnie replied hastily. "That doesn't explain why you had our blood! You told me you were going to see Leatherhead, that our blood samples were for an experiment!"Leo yells back. Leatherhead? I wonder to myself. "I did go to see Leatherhead! I couldn't think in my own lab! I was trying to make a special retro mutagen for us!"
Just then Raph and Mikey enter the room with pizzas and two people I don't recognize, a redheaded girl in yellow and a guy with shaggy black hair, a few missing teeth, and freckles, carrying around a golf bag full of hockey sticks, baseball bats, and golf clubs, he was also dressed like a wannabe gangster. "What's this I hear about a special retro mutagen?" Raph asks. Donnie sighs. "After Riley showed up, I thought it would be a good idea to create a unique form of retro mutagen that could temporarily make us human so that we could patrol and do other stuff during the day, but it's harder than I thought it would be. The formula itself was easy, but finding a way to make it temporary and have it recharge itself while being in a compact form is tricky. In fact I was-" "Ok we get it, Dr. Turtlestein!" Raph yells.

I suddenly realized that it was 9:00 and I had to get home. "Uh guys, I have to go home now. I promised my dads I wouldn't spend the night away from home tonight." "No problem we were getting ready to go on patrol anyways." Leo says. He turns to Donnie. "Donnie, take Riley home. We'll talk about the rest later. You know where to meet up."

As Donnie and I approached my house we started talking about tonight. "You never told me why you told Stockman that Bishop needs to negotiate your terms for an internship." I sigh. "Bishop stopped by this afternoon, offering me an internship, which I need to graduate. However the price for it was bringing you to him. I was going to turn down the offer and search for other options when Stockman kidnapped me when I was on my way to see you. The only way I would work for Bishop is if I had a way to keep him in line." Donnie's face broke out into a huge grin. "Maybe there is a way to do that! Stockman used to work for an old enemy of mine and my brothers who we defeated. He punished Stockman to the point where we was a brain and eyeball in a jar, but after years of working with Bishop he was equipped with a new robotic body. Anyway this enemy had a successor, she's not as ruthless but she's used severe punishments before. If we threatened to take Stockman away from Bishop if anything goes wrong then we don't have anything to worry about!" Donnie pulls out his t-Phone and hands it to me. "Do you have an answer for me Riley?" "I'll take your offer Bishop, but on my terms."
