Riley's POV

Donnie and I were in the Party Wagon driving up to Casey's grandmother's farm house for a romantic birthday weekend just for the two of us. After driving for hours we were finally there. I walked in the huge house amazed at how nice it looked.

"Wow, this place must be fully renovated! It's amazing!" I exclaimed. "Wait until you see the upstairs." Donnie replies. We walk upstairs and find 6 bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a decent sized hallway.

"This floor used to be one giant bedroom, a smaller bedroom, and a tiny bathroom. After many visits up here after battles, we decided to split up the giant bedroom and add on a bathroom. The bedrooms are decently sized and it wasn't too hard to add more plumbing for a new bathroom." Donnie explained.

I tried to picture this place the way it used to be and when I did the change amazed me. "I'm going into town for a few supplies. Why don't you spend some time getting ready for tonight and don't come downstairs until I say so." Donnie suggested.

After a few hours I was dressed in a beautiful black and purple evening dress, make-up on, with one of my mother's amethyst rings and my new bracelet from Donnie to match. I had also put on a pair of amethyst earrings from Daddy and Papa for my birthday, and an amethyst necklace I found packed in with my clothes from Donnie.

I could hear pots and pans clanging in the kitchen downstairs, Donnie muttering and cursing to himself and appearing to be talking to someone other than himself. "I'm trying here, it's harder than it looks. Yes I'm boiling the water. No I couldn't find one. Ok, I'll go into town and get one. I'm sure someone in town sells one or at least will loan me one. Hang on." The door opens and I hear someone. "Yo Donnie! I heard you needed some help so I brought you this!" Casey? What's he doing here?

"Thanks Casey, but how on earth did you know that I... Oh right Mikey, the only one who can cook, he must have known that this would happen." Eventually Casey had left and the kitchen never caught on fire. Before I knew it, it was time to eat.

"Donnie, how did you learn to cook pasta?" I asked him over dinner with champagne. "Mikey taught me, but apparently there's not a pasta pot here because Casey showed up with one while I was video chatting with Mikey." I laughed at that response. After dinner Donnie pulls out a box from Anderson's bakery, where my cake came from.

"Go ahead and open it." He says. I open the box and inside there is a cupcake with purple frosting and a beautiful ring, with diamonds and an amethyst stone accenting it. I look towards Donnie who is down on one knee. "Riley, we've only been together a few months and I already want to spend my life with you. You are my lifetime mate. Will you marry me?" He asks. "Of course I will! I love you so much!" We share a wonderful kiss and spend the rest of the weekend upstairs celebrating our engagement.
