Chapter 6

It's been a couple days I haven't seen Jayden.. I haven't been to the Boulevard either I've been spending time with Zack he needs reassurance that I'm sticking around so he took off work these last couple days but today he's going back to work and I to the boulevard.

"Bye baby remember don't leave the house" I smile and kiss him "I won't babe have a good day at work" he leaves and I go and change and head to the boulevard I don't have anything prepared so I guess I'm just going to go with the flow

There's more people than usual I look at them and see NYU & Juilliard on people's bags jackets and so on, what are Juilliard students doing here? I start to feel a little nervous.

I place my stuff down, I see a few familiar faces who greet me with a warm smile, I take a deep breath alright lets show these collage kids what a street dancer can do! I hit play and start to dance people stop and look

I start to get lost in the song when I start to hear people whispering "who's that?" "What does she think she's doing?" "You call that dancing" I feel my chest get tight, I go to do an easy stunt that I've done a thousand times but my

I few people start laughing the Juilliard kids none the less I put my head down so my hair can cover my face the song keeps playing, I hear a different song I look up and see Jayden he's dancing he smiles and extends his hand to me

I take it but he doesn't pull me to my feet he lefts me up and hold me I laugh he puts me down an keeps dancing I stare at him in aw he's amazing He stops and looks at me

Ooo he wants to battle, I Decide to test him so I start with a back flip and go from, we keep going back and forth till the song ends the crowd cheers he pulls me into a hug

"You're amazing" I smile " No You're amazing" he lets go and a blond girl walks up "Jayden?" I turns his head to her "hey marry" she gives me a disgusted look Tf? "You know her?"

Jayden smiles and slings his arm around my shoulders "Riley? Yeah me and her go way back" he looks down at me I smile he smiles back "oh..well don't forget about the banquet" "I haven't and I won't"

she gives me one last disgusted look and walks away "she's a snooty blond" Jayden laughs "Yeah she is, where have you been?" "Busy" he looks at me odd "You are never to busy to dance"

As true as that might be I can't just tell him why... This right now feels wrong because of Zack.. "Your not busy now are you" he asked hopefully "uhh not really" he smiles "good cuz me and you are going to do something"

I look at him confused "Like what?" At the moment my stomach growls...talk about embarrassing!! Jayden laughs "how about we get something to eat?" I shrug "ok" his face lights up and he gives me a beaming smile that makes my heart flutter

We start walking "Where do you wanna eat?" I shrug "anywheres fine" I feel something brush my fingers, I look down and notice it's his hand, does he want to hold my hand!? I feel my cheeks get hot. His fingers brush mine again this time I grab his finger with mine we walk like that for a while before he pulls my hand to his and we lock fingers

I look up at him he isn't looking at me but his cheeks are a little pink, I look down letting my hair cover my face, why so I feel so nervous? He's just a friend...us holding hands doesn't mean anything... I shake my head and exhale "so where you taking me?" He glances at me and smirks "oh it's a surprise" I laugh "Jayden I've lived here all my life there is no place you can take me that I wouldn't have either been too or known about" he pulls me closer so our arms are touching "I bet I can" "dought it!" I say automatically he looks down at me "ok so lets bet!" "Ok collage boy if I win you have to do whatever I want! No matter what it is!" He smiles "alright and if I win YOU have to do something I want no matter what" he's going to lose! "Ok" I look at him and our eyes meet "Bet."
