Chapter 10

Riley's POV

I wake up in pain but fully clothes and on my bed, I look around before trying to get up, as I do my core screams in pain but I have to get up, I lay down take a deep breath and force myself off the bed. It hurts at first but it stops after a couple minutes I walk to the bathroom

I look like hell...my hair is everywhere I have bruises all over my body and on my face I even have a bruise on my lip... I sigh and cover them up with makeup as for my body I put on my favorite pair of dancing sweat pants and a hoodie, I pull my hair into a pony tail I slip on my shoes and I leave

I know I shouldn't be leaving the house, especially not after last night but I can't stay in that house all day not with what happened last night, I start walking to the boulevard, as I turn the corner right before getting there I get pulled my back slams into the brick wall and my mouth is covered,

my eyes widen and my heart starts racing. I look at the guy holding me "Your Zacks girl." Wait I know who he is! Shit. This isn't good "Zack owes me some money, I can never catch him alone but I figured getting to you is just as good", I see a few people appear behind him, I start shaking what are they going to do to me..

On of the guys sticks out to me.. From where ? The guy holding me raises his hand and hits me clean across the face I whimper, I pull my arms up to cover my face and my legs to cover my stomach, this isn't my fist time Getting jumped. As they keep hitting me I try to think of where I know him from the other guy..

Wait he was with Jayden when I first saw him! I turn my body to where I'm facing him "Your Jayden's friend!" He stops "Derek what the fuck are you doing!" The guy who was holding me pushes him "She's with Jay man we got the wrong girl!" Everyone stops "There's no way we have the wrong girl. She just left Zacks house!" He picks me up by the hair "she's Zacks girl!"

I look around Ina panic I know what I have to do. I raise my arm and elbow the guy In the face as hard as I can he drops me as he bends over I bring my knee up to his face he drops back I turn to run but one of the other guys grabs me and once again I'm slammed agents the wall.

The guy I hit gets up "see Derek she's Zacks girl she did the same thing when Maria and her girls jumped her" he walks up to me "Your going to pay the price for your little boyfriend" he pulls out a knife and puts it to my cheek "Zander . She's with me." My heart stops I look behind the guy and Jayden's standing there. There's a silence "Zander put her down" Jayden says warningly Zander let's me go and takes a step back "Derek grab Riley"

Derek reaches for me I flinch "I'm sorry, I'm not going to hurt you" I let him grab me he pulls me away from Zander and walks me over to Jayden "Come on baby girl lets get you out of here" he puts his hand on my waste and walks me over to the boulevard, After a little while he stops he turns me so I'm facing him he looks at my face "Are you ok?" I shrug "I'm fine it isn't the first time I've been jumped" he grabs me hand "C'mon we're going to my house to get your face cleaned up"

I don't object I just follow "Jayden?" "Mm?" "Why did he listen to you back there?" He sighs "after my sister ODED I became a very trouble kid so I got involved with things I had no business getting involved in, Derek being my best friend knew Zander so he was my way in but I didn't like the way he ran things so I went off on my own and I met a guy named Rafael he was more involved with the cartel not really the Mafia or dealers here. He is the leader of his own Cartel he's one of the most feared and respected men in the business he took me under his wing, I earned his trust. when I stepped out of that life Raf still keeps me under his protection. Needless to say Zander . Knows that and he doesn't want to get on Rafs radar in a bad way"

Jayden was a dealer? "Wait so your telling me you sold drugs?" He shrugs "not necessarily I was more the muscle" I make the O shape with my mouth "How do you know Zack?" I feel my heart stop "What? You know Zack?"

"I don't personally know him but I know of him he's done a deal or too with Raf back in the day, Raf wanted information on him before doing the deal with him so that was my job" I start freaking out a little "what kind of information?" "Just stuff I can't really say"

I nod understand, when we finally get to his house we go up to his room I'm thankful his parents aren't home "sit down I'm going to go get the fist aid kit" I sit on his bed and wait for him to come back, when he does a lady is with him "Riley this is my nana engirt"

she gives me a warm smile. Engrit Id an older lady about mid 50's but she looks in good shape she has her long gray hair pulled back secured my a hair clip , she isn't wearing any make up but you could tell that she was beautiful when she was younger

"it's nice to meet you Riley Your as beautiful as my little boy here said, now let's get that face of yours all cleaned up" I look at Jayden his face a little flushed but I smile at him. Engrit proceeds to clean my face it stings a lot but after a while it only hurts a little it's not long before she finishes "There you go sweetie all done"

I smile at her "Thank you" she smiles back "Hey nana do you think you can help Riley go dress shopping for the banquet" shit. "Of course honey, your taking her?" A big green appears on Jayden's face "Yeah" Engrit smiles at him and then looks at me "how does tomorrow afternoon sound?" I look at Jayden the back at Engrit "Sure"
