"Wow, it's been a while..." Nikki said.

I looked at Jai as he was blankly looking at her.

"It's only been a month." Jai told her.

"Who's this?" She asked staring at me.

"I'm Hayley." I said giving a smile but she didn't give one back.

She glanced over at Jai and I holding hands.

"Oh so you guys are a couple?" She asked.

Jai quickly let go of my hand.

"No, it's different." He said as I felt pain in my chest and realized it was my heart.

"Did you come here alone?" Jai asked her.

"Yeah, was bored so decided to you know watch a chick flick or something." She said.

I couldn't help but stare at her as she had dirty blonde hair. She was quiet tall and had a really nice body shape. I looked at her as she was staring at Jai.

"You live around here?" Jai asked her.

"I just moved back here because I had some business to do." She said.

"Why did you leave me without telling me?" He said as I looked at him.

"I'm sorry Jai, I thought you would understand me. I just had to get away from this area and leave everyone I loved behind me." She said.

"Including me?" He said.

Oh my god.

No.

It can't be.

Jai's ex-girlfriend.

"Especially you." She said as they were just staring at each other as I felt really uncomfortable.

"Jai should we get going?" I finally spoke as you can say I was a little jealous.

He finally looked at me since the moment he had seen her.  His expression changed as he looked guilty.

"Oh my god Hayley." He snapped out of his thoughts.

"I'm so sorry." He mumbled to me.

"It's okay." I gave him a small smile.

"We better go now, bye Nikki." Jai said.

"I'd love to meet again." She said behind us as we were walking out.

We got into the car as the whole ride was silent.

We reached the house as Jai parked his truck on the driveway as we just sat there.

"Hayley..." Jai started.

"It's okay." I said looking down at my lap.

"It's just we recently broke up... It was just too soon." He said.

"I get it, you are still not over her. But it's okay we aren't dating or anything." I said looking at him as he looked at me upset.

"But I like you." He said to me.

"But not as much as you like her." I whispered to him as we just stared at each other.

I took my belt off leaning over to Jai.

"Good night Jai." I said as I gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Jai's POV:
She leaned over giving me a kiss on the cheek and got out of the car and inside the house.
