"You can wait in here while I quit my job." I told Jai as I was sitting in the passenger seat of his truck.

"No it's okay I'll go in with you." He said.

"Okay." I said as we hopped out of the car.

I walked in seeing Brenda working at the front desk. She looked at me and didn't look so happy as usual.

"What's your excuse this time?" She asked me.

"Oh and who's this?" She said looking at Jai as he was wearing black jeans with a half sleeve black top.

"This is Jai, a friend of mine." I said to her.

"It's nice to meet you." She said as they shook hands.

"Um can we talk in your office?" I asked her as she began to worry.

"Yeah come on." She said as I followed her.

I stopped in front of her door and turned around to face Jai.

"What do you think you are doing?" I asked him.

"Going inside with you." He said looking down at me.

"No you are staying here while I talk to MY boss." I said looking at him in the eyes.

"What am I supposed to do?" He asked.

"I told you to wait in the car." I smirked as I walked in her office shutting the door behind me.

Jai's POV:

I was walking around the shop and remembered this was the first day I met Hayley.

I turned the corner and almost bumped into a boy.

"Woah." He said as I itched the back of my head.

"Sorry about that." He said.

"No it's okay." I said.

"Do you need any help?" He asked me.

"Nope just looking around." I said as he nodded making his way to the front.

I followed as I was hearing arguing coming from the office but then it went silent.

A while later Hayley came out of the room as she looked upset.

"Hales, what's wrong?" The boy I almost bumped into asked me before I could.

"Thomas." She said as she hugged him while he hugged her back.

I watched them hug as I felt off and watched where he placed his hands on her.

"Hales is everything okay?" He asked

Why does he call her Hales? Is he her boyfriend? Does he like her?

"I quit."

"What?" He said pulling out of the hug.

"Theres so much going on, and I need to just deal with it first." She told him.

He was staring at her eyes as I was staring at him.

"Hayley we should get going." I spoke.

They both looked at me.

"I just want to talk to Thomas for a while, you can wait in the car." She said.

"Who's he?" Thomas asked me.

"I could ask the same about you." I said back in a rude tone.

"Jai." Hayley said to me.

"Thomas, her good friend, aka first love." Thomas said winking at her and shaking my hand as I gave him a firm shake.

"Shut up Thomas." She joked.
