Mood: BLUE by Troye Sivan

Louis watched as Harry talked on the Ellen Show, giving Ellen a tight smile.

"So...everyone is talking about the whole PR stunt. And the thing is, we just don't get it. Can you please explain it to us?"

Harry sighs, shifting in his seat on the plush white couch. He wipes his hands on jeans, looking down at the table.

"Well uh. I don't know. I got tired of lying." He says and runs a hand through his hair. Louis wanted to reach through the television screen and comfort him. He frowned when Ellen kept pressing him with questions.

It's been over two weeks and this whole thing still hasn't died down. People were adding fuel to the drama and it was driving Louis insane.

"Is that all you're lying about? Or do you have some other secrets we don't know about?" She asks. Harry shifts again. He bites his lip, seeming to be contemplating something. Finally he just shakes his head.

"I'm an open book." He replies and Ellen laughs, shaking her head.

"Whatever you say..." She says before going on to asking more questions like his next album and his favorite places to visit. They play a game called 'Never Have I Ever' and Louis giggles at the dumb questions.

"Never have I ever slept with a fan." Ellen says and Harry gives a sly smile before flipping his paddle to 'I Have'. The audience screams and Ellen's eyes widen in shock.

"Wow okay." She mumbles with a short laugh. Louis just about faints, watching the way Harry blushes and smiles.

Harry sighed, staring at the blurry image of Louis on his laptop screen. It was past midnight in London but it was only four in the afternoon here in L.A.

"So the Ellen interview. You've slept with a fan, eh? Wonder who the lucky person is." Louis giggles, bringing his blanket to cover just a bit over his lips.

Harry smiles at him, his eyes shining as he stares at Louis.

"Yeah well I feel like the lucky one." Harry replies, biting his lip.

"Sap." Louis mutters and Harry grins, running a hand through his hair, before deciding to tie it into a messy bun. He listens to Louis complain about how disgustingly in love Eleanor was with Alice, humming in content.

They talk for hours, Louis complaining about different things and Harry laughing along with him. It was nearing two in the morning when Louis goes silent.

"Are you tired? I could leave you--"

"No it's not that. I just, I saw Johannah, my uh mum." Louis says, "I saw her last week."

"Why didn't you tell me? What happened?" Harry asks worriedly. The expression on Louis' face show nothing good.

"I didn't want you to worry. She uh...she was looking for me." Louis says biting his lip absentmindedly.

"That's good, no?" Harry asks, confused.

"It would have been. If she didn't start spouting crap about me being straight. She believes I'm really dating El." Louis mutters. Harry frowns, trying to think of something to say. He didn't like seeing Louis sad.

"Hey, you don't need her. Don't let her words get you down." Harry muses, giving him a soft smile.

"She told me her parenting worked. She looked so happy because she thought I was straight..." Louis whispers, his voice barley audible through the laptop speakers.

"Don't listen to her." Harry replies quickly. He wishes he could hug him, kiss him, tell him it's going to be okay. He wishes for so many things but he can't do anything. He can only give him encouraging words and smiles.

"Harry." He almost doesn't hear him, it's so timid and quiet, it breaks his heart.

"Yeah, Lou?"

"Is being gay really that bad?" He asks, not looking at the screen. He was looking down, fiddling with his blanket.

"No! Of course it's not! Listen to me, babe. Johannah doesn't understand. Love is love." Harry answers. Louis sniffles.

"Baby? Are you crying? Please don't cry." Harry begs, getting more and more agitated at the fact that he was across the ocean and he couldn't do anything to comfort him. Louis wipes at his eyes and gives Harry a tight smile.

"I'm sorry. I'm just--it's crazy to think that...my own mother couldn't accept me. I just--"

"Lou. Whatever she says doesn't matter. You matter. You're perfect the way you are. Who you love doesn't change that." Harry says and Louis smiles again, not so forced this time. He thanks him and it's silent for a few minutes as Louis composes himself. He wipes at his eyes to clear them and takes a few deep breaths.

He smiles at Harry again, a small one at first that eventually takes over and he's grinning, eyes crinkling at the corners.

Harry makes a few awful jokes that Louis surprisingly laughs at and when it's nearing three Louis yawns.

"You should get some sleep." Harry says. Louis rubs at his eyes with his fists as another yawn racks his body. He nods solemnly and gives Harry another smile.

"I'm in love with you." He says, his voice soft and full of ardor. Harry can't help but grin, blushing.

"Remember when I called you that one time and told you that I wanted to fall in love with you?" Harry asks slowly. Louis nods and his cheeks turn a pretty rosy color as he thinks about the memory.

"I always tell you that I love you. I do. But I don't think that's enough. I just wish there was a bigger word for the way I feel about you. Every time I look at you, I have to remind myself how to breathe because you're so beautiful. Whenever you say something I'm so caught up in you, I don't even notice the world around me." Harry says taking a deep breath, "I'm in love with you."
