Rose gazed upon the Doctor in concern, as he took off his coat and tie, and started ambling towards the stairs.
The man, zombie walking, gasped for air continuously, trying to stabilize himself.
"Doctor, are you alright?!" the girl quickly ran towards him as he almost fell. "Gosh, you're burning! What is wrong with you?"
"Nothing. Nothing, just.." he loudly sniffed. " I just need to get to my room and sleep, that's all."
"Oh, I can help you with that!" Shereen interfered. "Rose. Don't worry. I'll keep an eye on him. Besides, I am stronger, although you already know that from our PE in school."
"That doesn't mean I can't carry him."
"Nobody needs to carry me." the Doctor shut them off. "I can walk myself..Ha..! Please make yourself a favour Rose. Go to sleep. Shereen, you..take the TARDIS back home."
Without acquiescing, the black haired woman flew towards the console, where she took the charge pressing buttons, while the Timelord made his way up and Rose stood watching.
"Don't worry, he'll be fine." Shereen tried to appease.
"Fine?! Do you call that 'fine'?! He's burning like lava!"
"Oh, don't be daft. He's a Timelord, he is going to survive." the woman lifted a lever. "And you should go to sleep. You look very tired."
"I just woke up!!" the girl protested. "Look, I don't mean to be rude, but what the hell are you turning into?"
"Get some perspective here! And be honest. When was the last time he needed your help?"
"What?"
"When was the last time you did help him?"
The girl crossed her arms, sitting on the jump seat, very deep looking at the other person's moves. She knew something was off. The complacency and callous words she was trying to ignore still hit her; it felt too clandestine.
The other woman smiled as she turned from the console to face her, and slightly derided.
"I've been through so many things you wouldn't even believe me." Rose pointed out confidently.
"Well, I do not deny that. You and the Doctor..I know there is a big history between you two, and I'm not gonna mess it."
"You're not gonna mess it? Then, what were you doing the whole time?! Letting him teach you fly the TARDIS?" the blonde girl stood up, flabbergasted.
"I thought it could be a good idea, honey. After all, look in what position we find ourselves. There needs to be someone who can drive this thing."
"Look, Shereen, " Rose started walking around the console, sometimes touching it or pressing buttons. When she reached the woman again, she left her body fall against it. "I know a relationship with the Doctor can be exciting and stunning. But let me make one thing clear. There is no difference between us. We are the same, people with human DNA and blood."
"But we're not. I am telepathic. That makes me officially superior in this place." Shereene's callous lack of behave shoked Rose.
"How can you be-"
"Stop!!" the woman raised her arms, welcoming the silence. "Can you feel that?"
"Feel what? Shereen, we were just having a tal-"
"There. Feel it. Can't you?"
The two women looked at the shaking metal ground, their legs vibrating simultaneously with it, and as they turned around to reach the commandos of the machine, the TARDIS flew them against the wall; Rose's head hitting itself, drops of blood covering the ground. She tried to stood up, her hands shifting only a part of her body. But it was too late, by the moment her eyes closed, a wave of ancient music reached her ears, and she fell, uncouncious.
