The Doctor avoided to discuss. He only walked the stairs and corridors inside the Torchwood basement where he entered, to find what he was looking for. Mickey was right behind him, but didn't say anything. The tension felt quiet heavy, and the Timelord was turning into something he had never seen before.
They ran over the computer, obviously, it was still connected and ready to be used whenever Torchwood had the mood to. The Doctor plugged in the Anti Virus and waited for the window to pop up. When it did, he took a chair and sat in front of the computer, his fingers typing faster than usual. He groaned in annoyance as Mickey approached.

"Why'd you do that?" asked Mickey crossing his arms.
The Doctor tried to avoid the question.
"Doctor, why did you do that? What the hell happened to you ?"
Again, he said nothing.
"It's because of Rose isn't it? I hope you realize what mistake you have done, I hope you realize in which monster you have turned into."
"Mickey I'm busy."
"No, no, no. Because if this is the last thing you'll do, you're gonna listen. We all miss her, Doctor. Me, Jackie..even our neighbors. But you know what? We didn't transform in the same way you did. We remained human; something you can't be."
"Oh, yeah? Tell that to the drunk woman who's waiting on a couch tonight."

The Doctor stood up to grab something from a desk, then sat again, his hand rubbing the back of his neck in frustration. The computer popped up some stages to go through, and he tried to accomplish them as fast as possible. Blimey, he never moved so fast.

"Look, I don't care what you are doing." Mickey continued, gazing upon the Gallifreyan. "I don't care if you do it, but after you are done, I want you to return to that blue box of yours and never come back, Doctor. Don't ever return, you understand? You are cursed, and you curse people with you."

The Doctor stopped typing for a moment, and simply looked at the desktop in front of him. Before he spoke, he silently sighed and closed his eyes.

"I won't. Never."

"Good." Mickey stepped away and exited the basement, still carying a gun with him.

The Doctor leaned back in his seat looking at the ceiling above him. He flung his legs on the desk, and crossed his arms behind his neck.
He wasn't going to return, not at all. This planet was poisonus for him, it wasn't worth it. To his mind he lost everything, even the spark of living. It was impossible to continue like that, and he had to hurry.
Torchwood was on alarm, and he could be found any minute. He got back to work, and when the green bar completed charging, he pressed enter, waiting for the magic to happen. At first, nothing moved, and he stood up confused, but after another couple of seconds, the lights started flickering, among with the computer. He ran over at the Anti-Virus and grabbed it, not wanting to leave something behind beyond Torchwood, and exited the room. This was it, they were having a black out. Perfectly for him to sneak out the building, to forget everything he's done, to go away from all of it. Even the thoughts.
When the lights went out, he knew it was the moment to run. To run as fast as he could, because the humans were coming to get him down. To steal his soul and mind for their own purposes.
Or simply, to fairly execute him.

The Doctor hide his Anti Virus inside his bigger on the inside pockets, and as he exited through the back door, he grabbed his brown coat as well. He wasn't going to wear a laboratory one forever, was he? The man took some looks behind as he ran. Torchwood looked so innocent from the outside, so peaceful and quiet, especially without any lights. Not many people knew what actually this Institute was doing daily.
He was impressed, of course he was. The human kind evolved through time, and even space. It was incredible how such tiny little beings could become so more. Could travel the stars and discover hidden secrets everyday.
If Rose was there, he would've said he's proud. But, if she was there, she would've said she's disappointed.

It's better off by himself.

He quickly sonicked a jeep that he recalled as being the 'almost' same he used to drive with UNIT, and simply drove away. Yeah, driving. He loved running, but right now he really didn't feel like doing it. Besides, there was a long way to the TARDIS.

London felt like a ghost town at the moment. The night fell upon the city and transformed it into shadows, even if it was cracking morning. No one on the streets, only a few cars that drove in multiple directions. It was weird for London, the always full of people place.
Something felt off, but he wasn't going to stay. Just as Mickey said, he was going to fly away with the blue box. Because there was nothing to keep him here anymore. This planet was full of pain and chips.

The Doctor exited his car and went to the TARDIS, which to his relief opened her doors, and let him step inside. Although he was expecting a little more adventure this couple of hours, he didn't complain. He wanted his mind off for some time, but Earth brought the memories back. Humans should be thankful, he just saved their home again. Just like the other hundreds of time before. They really should be thankful.

He walked over the console and gazed upon the panel, the image of a girl calling on the screen, not distracting him.
He set the date and time, galaxy and system, and pressed the buttons, used the breaks and dematerialized.
There was nothing to be done anymore, only wait. Wait for..nothing. As he ran his hand through his hair, he ambled towards the doors and opened them. He sat on the edge, the magnificent view of colours and stars behaving like a painting, surprising his eyes and being.
This was the place he was going to spend a lot of time. A long one, to be forgotten, a strange alien once again.

Forever.

A/N : Ello! Hope you liked this part as well, and if you did, don't forget to vote and leave a little comment ^_^ .
By the way, is it just me, or does it really feel that something's changed with the community of Wattpad? I don't know why, but I feel something's colder than usual here.

Anyhow, have a nice day! Bye!
