The end

Riley stood over Maya.
"I'm so glad you lived. I'm so lost without you. I'm so sorry about everything that's happened. I should have known. He was arrested. You're my best friend. Please don't leave me, Maya. It's over now. The memories don't disappear, but it's over and I will be there. You can tell me every story if that's what you need or you can just cry on my shoulder. I can make you laugh, you can make me laugh. I need that. I need to laugh, and I need you."
Suddenly, Maya's eyes flickered. Then again, and again, and they were opened.
"Maya!" Katy and Cory ran in.
"Oh, my baby girl." Said Katy, rushing to her and stroking her hair.

Maya turned to Riley.
