I wish I could love you

The following day Cara skips onto the ward happily and gets herself ready for her day ahead, "I have a feeling it's gonna be one of those kinda days" Cara smiles as she looks up at Fletch and smiles.

"Don't push your luck Cara, RTC on its way in, ED can't cope and all the wards are all nearly at their limit, so we might have to declare a black alert" Fletch says to Cara who sighs as she thought it would be a good day.

Raf enters the ward followed by two trolleys and around six paramedics who included Dixie and Iain.
"Okay Cara, Morven and Fletch can you see to Miss Williams and Dr Digby can you assist me in theatre please" Raf announces, Dixie goes with Raf and Arthur straight through to theatre and Iain follows Cara, Fletch and Morven over to the only free bay.

They treat the patients and carry on their day as usual, during the day Cara has to tell a relative that the patient had passed away....
"Mr Summerhayes?" Cara questions as she knocks on the relatives room door and looks at him.

"What ?! What is it? Where's Ali ? Is she okay?" Mr Summerhayes questions as he stands up.

Cara walks in and shuts the door, "okay Mr Summerhayes we need to talk" Cara announces. He sits down and looks at her.

"What is it?? What's up with Ali?" He says nervously.

"Mr Summerhayes, I'm saddened to say this but Alison has passed away" Cara says to him in a caring tone.

He looks at Cara and shakes his head "No,No you've got it wrong it's someone else, you've got it wrong Ali is fine she's probably been moved or something? Right?" He says as he starts to panic.

Cara shakes her head as she watches his pace the room rather agitated. "I'm so sorry" Cara says as she stands up.

He suddenly looses it and pushes Cara up the wall and pins her arms above her head, "Mr Summerhayes please let go, I need to get on with my job" Cara says in a Stern tone.

They are both unaware that Raf is watching and is about to intervene, "excuse me Mr Summerhayes would you kindly loose my colleague so she can get back to work, or I will have to call security" Raf says as he bursts into the room.

He moves away from Cara and she quickly dashes to Raf, He looks at the two "I will be back, and you will be sorry!" He warns in a nasty tone as he leaves the relatives room.

Cara and Raf exchange looks "what? Are you okay?" Raf says as he checks her over.

"I'm fine, I'm fine stop fussing" Cara says as she pushes him away a little before giggling and giving him a quick kiss on his cheek, this instantly makes Raf smile.

They both head back out on the ward to continue their duties, unaware of what the next hour is going to hold...
