Not good enough

21. Shockers.

 I awake with panic , with my heart beating roughly.

I sit up , looking around the room. Jake was not here nor was my family.

 I push the 'call nurse' button and sit up. A few seconds a nurse walks in.

" Anything wrong miss?" she smiles at me.

"Yeah , where is the guy that was with me last night?" I look at her and fiddle with my fingers. 

"He left but he said we would be back , he told me that he had to be somewhere urgently , must of been ugent because he was on the phone talking to somone for a long time." she hands me a cup of water.

"Oh, is there a phone that I can use to call him and my family?" I take the cup and she nods.

"Your mother left this here , I think it is your cellphone." she opens the drawer next to me and hands me the electronic.

"Thanks." I smile at her and she leaves.

I unlock the phone and first call my mom. I dial her number and it rings for a few seconds until there is an answer.

"Hello, Lisa?" Mom answers the phone.

"Mom , where are you at the moment?" I lie back down on the bed.

"I'm at work , sweetie why?"

"I don't where Jake is, he wasn't with me when I woke up , the nurse said he left because there was something urgent, I am gonna call him now." 

"Oh , I don't know sweetie , but yeah call him , he is your ride by the way."

"Okay, mom see you later, love you."

"Love you , bye." 

And with that I hung up and instantly dialed Jake's number, there is an answer only after the 4th ring.

"Hello?" A unknown voice speaks into the phone.

"Uh, who is this?" 

"No need for that infomation, who do you need?" The voice was manly.

"Jake? Is he there?"

There was no answer for a few seconds.

"Jakey has a crush? HAHAHAHA!" the man sounds like his talking to someone in the backround.

" Lisa?" Jake talks into the phone, he sounds tired and jaded.

"Jake, Jake what is going on, are you okay?" I reply with worry.

"Lisa, babe... listen to me , I need you to run, okay? I'll find you but you need to run,
now go Lisa g-" Jake says quick and then the call drops.

Jake! I drop the phone and cry instantly.  I gather myself up and dial mom's phone again.

"Mom, mommy." I say quickly.

 What , what is wrong darling?" she replies.

"Pick me up, Jake is kidnapped or something and he told  me to run away, mommy I think they are after me , pick me up now please." 

"Sweetie who has him?" 

"I ... I don't know but I think a gang , mom I don't know where he is mom!" I start crying and sob onto the phone .

"Okay , stay there! I  am on the way."

"I'm scared"

And with that the call ends and I call the nurse again.

I few seconds later a nurse comes running in.

"I need to leave now , please my mom is picking me up but I need to leave now."
