"Panic! At The Disco? That's a weird name.." I said to Ryan. He shrugged,

"You know that song by The Smiths, Panic? Well there's a line in it that's 'burn down the disco', so its Panic! at the Disco with an exclamation point."

"Alright, cool. So, how long have you been in the band, Brent?" I asked.

"I dunno, a week?" he mumbled. He had really long hair.. I didn't like him too much. Seemed to just be.. well. A bitch. "Are you guys going to that steam punk dance in two days?" he asked.

"I didn't know there was a dance.. I'll talk to Mona." I said. I guess she didn't know about it either. Or she forgot to ask me. I flipped open my phone and let my fingers prance on the keys, texting Mona.

Me: Hey do you want to go to the Steam punk dance with me?

Mona: Oh yeah sure, I forgot to ask you. Let's go with the colors gold and brown?

Me: Okay. I'll pick you up at 6

I closed my phone and returned it to my pocket. We got into our places and begun practicing Ryan's song "Camisado." I was playing guitar, Ryan singing, Brent on bass and Spencer on drums. Ryan was an incredible song writer. I loved the lyrics he had written.

Suddenly, Ryan stopped singing so we all paused. He was looking at his phone.

"Uh, hey guys, I gotta go.. My dad needs my help. You can keep practicing, just be out before 4." he said before leaving.

"So. Who's gonna sing now?" Spencer chimed in. We shrugged,

"I can I guess?" I volunteered. I've never really sung much so this would be interesting. I stepped up to the mic, still playing guitar and we started the song again. I only messed up on a few lyrics but overall I did good, I think. We finished the song and I turned off the mic and heard clapping. Spencer and Brent were clapping in my direction. "What?" I asked.

"You're an incredible singer, holy shit dude." Brent said. I was confused. I was a good singer?

"Yeah! Why didn't you tell us you could sing?" Spencer added in.

"I didn't know I could?" I shrugged. They rolled their eyes.

"I'm gonna talk to Ryan about you being the singer. He always said he was iffy about singing." he said, pulling out his phone. I sat on the chair, playing around with some chords on the guitar. "Okay. He said you can be singer." I nodded. This will be fun.

/Mona's POV/

I was out dress shopping with my mom when I spotted the perfect brown and gold dress. It was lace at the top, and sheer at the bottom. The brown skirt faded into a gold and the top had intricate gold designs. I picked it up, showing my mom excitedly.

"Wow. This is beautiful, hun." she flipped over the tag. "And on sale. We can get this one." she smiled. I ran to the cash happily and we ran to the cash, bought it and left. We had already gotten some clock and gear things and a small brown top hat from the dollar store for my head.

I began assembling the hat once we got in the car, gluing the decorations on. After I was satisfied with my result, I put it down and sang along to what was on the radio.
