MudWing Mayhem

          *~*~*~* Algae *~*~*~*
        Algae woke up to three dragons poking his sides. " Whaa?" He said, forgetting the past day. Then it came flooding back, Porcupine, Barnacle, and death. That was the worst scare ever. Now what was next, and where are these crazy dragons going. " Hey Algae, wake up Shade has something to share," Barnacle's voice called. Algae didn't really care what Shade was going say, Algae never really liked the NightWing anyway.
      " So, every night I fall asleep I dream of the same things. This white dragon covered in ash and everything getting colder and colder, and then these blood-red dragons are flying and killing everyone—" Shade's talking was interrupted by a snort from Algae. Everyone looked at him. " Oh, sorry. It just seems like you are dreaming about SkyWings and IceWings, and fire. Not much to worry about right?" Algae said. Parakeet stared daggers at him, Shade looked a little sad, and Barnacle whispered," Next time, keep your thoughts to yourself."
      Algae backed away, not wanting to disturb the group. He was definitely the loner. They didn't really need him anyway.... Algae started to flap away from the group and to– well he didn't really know. He'd been Squeal the scavenger ever since the time he was three moons.

    " CRACK!" Algae swiveled around. A red blur went past him and into a forest . Following the blur Algae flew with determination. Another crack erupted and Algae could hear a loud grunt in the trees ahead.  He ran fast and jumped on red scales that were the color of blood. Just like Shade said...
      " WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Algae yelled at the blood red dragon. " Nothing..." The dragon growled. He spun over and covered one of eyes and stared straight at Algae with the other. " WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Algae yelled. His voice started to get to a whisper and he felt so sleepy. Within a second he was laying flat on his back, and the strange dragon had escaped.
       ----10 minutes later ----
   Algae felt something scratch him, and woke up. " WHERE IS HE!!" Algae screeched spinning around looking for the red dragon. Shade was staring at Algae with a weird look. " Who?" He said. Algae look Shade in the eyes. " I saw a blood dragon. He put his hand over one of his eyes, then he looked at me with a pure white eye and made me fall asleep. " Algae said dead seriously. Shade looked as pale as a cloud. Shade and Algae never mentioned this to Parakeet or Barnacle the next day. It seemed to be their secret.
Since their were no leads on Juniper's whereabouts the group was a little stumped. Then Parakeet came up with an idea. " I can use my powers." Parakeet said. Of course the others argued against this, nothing persuaded Parakeet. She knelt over pointed stick and enchanted it to lead them to Juniper. Instantly the stick started to spin around and it landed right near Algae's chest. He slowly backed away from the stick. Then the stick started zooming forward right towards MudWing Territory. Since none of them were MudWings, Algae suspected that this trip wasn't going to go well.

It was a short trip. They had flown for a little, but Algae's wings felt weird. He had been so used to being a scavenger that he forgot that he was originally a dragon.
         The enchanted stick took them to a huge mud pit with a bunch of MudWing's lounging around in it.  "Where is Juniper?" Parakeet said confusedly. " The stick says she is in the mud pit." Parakeet gave the group a disgusted look and she dive into the gooey pit. Mud splashed everyone, and the MudWings oohed with delight. Algae jumped in too. So did Shade and Barnacle. All of them were squirming around, no one liked the weird squishy feeling of the mud against their scales. Algae went completely under the mud, thinking that it would be like water only to come to the surface gagging. " There's–PAH– no – PAH– way." Algae said while spitting  out clods of mud.   So gross, Algae thought. " Check and see if any of them look like RainWings!" Parakeet yelled. The group split up and started looking for any RainWings.  Paddling madly around MudWings, Algae was receiving very odd and confused looks from them.  Then a giant MudWing rise from the mud and yelled," HEY! THOSE AREN'T MUDWINGS!"  He pointed to each of them. The group started to jog through the mud, but it was like moving in tar. Unfortunately all the MudWings were better at this, and were close to catching Algae.
           Then Barnacle yelped," I see her!" Algae whipped his head around to see a RainWing covered in droopy mud, flying off towards Diamond Spray Delta. Barnacle's voice was muffled and then Algae saw a big MudWing grab her, one also grabbed Shadeclaw. " Parakeet!" Algae yelled, but it was too late. A MudWing had also got her, and one was right behind—" Got him!" A loud MudWing voice shouted. Dang it! Algae thought. Then an idea ran through his mind, and without thinking he did it.
Algae glowed a message to Barnacle with his scales. She nodded and two screams echoed into the air. Barnacle and Algae swung their tails making a wave of dirt, and then both of them dove under the mud. Shade and Parakeet were still trapped though. Algae went to the surface and started flashing his scales like a disco ball. Barnacle caught on, and soon half-blind MudWings were banging into each other.
A couple of MudWings were shielding their eyes though, and coming straight for Algae. Algae flashed another message to Barnacle, then paddled faster towards Parakeet. Although, she didn't need much help. She had started making her scales change color rapidly, and was also trying to hit the MudWings with her tail and claws. Parakeet managed to bash one in the face, causing a loud roar.
Algae swiveled his head and saw Queen Moorhen.

Great, I knew I was bad at making plans but this is the worst, Algae thought. Queen Moorhen was roaring and splashing mud everywhere. Ten muscly MudWings surrounded her, each one baring their teeth and  lashing their tails. Great. Just great, Algae thought. The only way out of this would be fighting, and Algae won the award for " Most Crappy Fighter of All Time". He charged at the MudWings (not having any idea what to do) then started hitting anything he could reach.  From the flurry of his claws Algae could barely see anything. Then he saw a rush of black scales, then blue, then multicolored. Then a huge MudWing bashed into Algae.  Everything got dizzy ......
         ------5 minutes later-------
       Two dragons lifted Algae into the air and flew over to Diamond Spray Delta with him. Eventually Algae's sight  became clearer and he could tell who was carrying him. Barnacle and Shade held him. Parakeet was flying quickly over to the delta, probably hoping that Juniper was there. 
     They landed softly on the ground. Standing at the delta was Juniper. Her scales were completely white, and she was standing next to the dragon Algae had tackled earlier that morning. And their tails were entwined....

Haha cliffhanger..... Anyway sorry if I don't update a lot. I'm busy with homework, and I have writers block so... Yeah. Also comment if you think I should do a chapter on Juniper, or like a backstory chapter. Also who's perspective should I do next? Anyway Thx. :)
