The Lost Dragonet (DISCONTINUED FOR NOW SORRY)

The week Juniper ran away

        --- When Juniper Ran Away---
           *~*~*~* Juniper *~*~*~*

            Juniper felt a light tapping on her shoulder, and she woke up with a start. A dragonet stood over her. His scales were the color of fresh blood, and he looked very handsome, and oddly familiar. Do I know him? Juniper thought to herself.  The dragon had its hands over its eyes, which made Juniper curious. " Why–" she started. The mysterious dragonet stopped her. Juniper reached toward his left eye and peeled his claw off it. His eye was completely white.
Juniper tried to glimpse his other eye, but he refused. Every day at sun-time this mysterious dragonet would wake her up and take her on a walk. It made Juniper feel different, loved. The next day at sun-time the red dragonet came again. As he started to fly into the forest with her, Juniper heard a voice. " Juniper! What are you doing!" Macaque( Juniper's mother)screamed. The red dragonet flew away leaving Juniper to face her mothers wrath. " Why are you wandering around! Do you want your scales to dull! Get back to sleep!" Macaque huffed. Juniper followed her mother and went back to sleep. The next day Juniper's mother approached her with news," You have been admitted to Jade Mountain!" Macaque said cheerfully. " Oh, yay," Juniper said without enthusiasm. She'd got shipped off, and now she wouldn't be able to see the red dragonet anymore.

---At Jade Mountain---
Juniper's mother dropped her off at the entrance to Jade Mountain. It was nice, but Juniper couldn't appreciate it. She glumly walked down the hall and found her Winglet. Okay, so I'm in Copper Winglet. Juniper thought. She eventually found her way to her room. Two dragonets were there. One was a SeaWing who was in a little pool, and the other was a SkyWing who was flying laps around the room, occasionally bumping into walls. After introducing herself and settling down on a mossy bed, Juniper and her roommates were called to their first class. Her Winglet mostly just introduced themselves and chatted the whole time, but Juniper sat in a corner alone. " Hey, I'm Barnacle. Why are you sad?" Barnacle said. Juniper looked up at her. " It's complicated. By the way, my name is Juniper." Juniper said. " Come over here, the boys are seeing who can make the most fire!" Barnacle said, and dragged Juniper over to see. Juniper cracked a grin. Out of a MudWing, a SandWing, and a NightWing, none were winning. But the IceWing was. Juniper laughed at the boys pathetic attempt to breathe fire. Barnacle nudged Juniper and asked," Why are your scales so white? Can't you change them?" Juniper was wondering that herself. Maybe it was not enough sun-time, but deep down Juniper knew that wasn't the cause.
Later that night, Juniper couldn't fall asleep. All she could think of was the blood red dragonet. She never even learned his name.... Cold air swept past Juniper's ears. He was here. The blood dragon looked at Juniper and gestured for her to follow him.
       The dragon led her to a small cave near Jade Mountain. " I have alit to tell you." The dragon said solemnly. Juniper nodded. The dragon continued," My name is Vital. I am not from any of your tribes, and I am more dangerous than any of those tribes." Juniper knew he was different! He was way handsomer than any dragon she'd seen. " I wear this leaf over my eye so that you don't get hurt. If you look at my left eye, then your scales will begin fading to white, and I can also lull anyone to a sleep with it. Then my other eye is pure black. If you look straight at it, you will crumble to ashes." He said with a little darkness in his voice. " You must trust me a lot to say this..." Juniper whispered. Vital leaned forward and said," Yes, I do. But please don't tell anyone my secret." Juniper nodded. Vital wrapped his tail around Juniper's. " We have to get you out of here though. Nobody can know that your scales are turning white. Tell your parents that you didn't get enough sun-time, and then fly away to Scorpion Den to meet me." Vital said. Then he gave Juniper a wink and took off.

          ----two days later----
    Juniper had instantly been taken back home after her parents took a glimpse of her scales. Now they were a grayish white. That afternoon Juniper knew what she had to do. When everyone seemed to be asleep at sun-time Juniper creeped off of the platform and scampered into the forest. Then she heard a voice," Juniper? Juniper! JUNIPER!" Parakeet's voice called. Juniper ducked under some leaves. Please don't find me. Please. Juniper thought. Then it was quiet, and she heard a smash and a couple complaints coming from her favorite hideout. I wonder what that was... Juniper thought. Sensing the right moment, Juniper launched herself into the sky and flew as quickly as she could to Scorpion Den.
            ------ Later--------
   Vital was there waiting for her. He had a smile on his face. He led her to a small shack, and went inside. There were a lot of random jewels and other weird things. Something caught Juniper's eye. It was so shiny and pretty, and she had to have it. Vital seemed to see it, since he decided to get it for her. It made Juniper so happy. She put the emerald necklace around her long neck . Vital smiled at her and told her  that it looked good on her, which made Juniper blush.
        Vital took off flying and brought Juniper to a cave in the Claws of the Clouds Mountains. Settling down for the night Juniper curled up on the cave floor. White scales against black rock.
          ----- 2 days later -----
  Nothing much has happened, except that each night Vital flew off saying that's he needed to ' check something', what ever in Pyhrria that was. Then a huge series of bangs erupted over the mountains and Juniper saw a MudWing body go flying into another mountain and two other huge crashes came. Then a loud wailing could be heard. And it said Barnacle. What is wrong with Barnacle? Is she okay? Why was she even here?! Juniper thought worriedly. She flew over to the mountains to see Barnacle's dead body. Juniper passed out.
----- a day later -----
Juniper woke up back in the cave, which meant that Vital had carried her. But where was he? A howling came from a forest nearby, and Juniper could see red scales. Vital came flying toward her almost collapsing on himself. " They have an animus!" He said in between huffs. He was bleeding a little and he had a couple bruises over his body. " Who?" Juniper said. Vital shook his head and muttered something that sounded like: they're on to us..." Let's go. SkyWing territory." He said . He managed to start flying but very slowly, and he plummeted down faster than usual, which meant they had a detour to the Mud Kingdom.
Then Vital did something totally romantic. " Make sure you are completely covered. And just act like a doofus and say stuff like 'mud is good.' Got it? Good." Vital said, then pushed Juniper into a huge my pit, while jumping in too. Mud. Was. The. Worst. It got in between her scales and made her feel like scavenger scat.
Juniper felt someone tug on her arm, then drag her under the mud. It was Vital. He pointed upwards to five dragons. One was a RainWing, one was a NightWing, and there were two SeaWings. All of them were following a stick that was aimed straight at Juniper. She understood now. They had an animus. And they were coming for her.
Juniper leaped out of the mud and flew towards Diamond Spray Delta, Vital following her from behind. The group of dragons seemed no to notice, since they didn't come after Juniper and Vital.
Juniper landed next to the delta and made Vital sit next to her. "Stay here and don't move." Juniper commanded. Vital looked like was going to argue, but didn't. Juniper cupped some water and poured it over Vital's scales. His eyes widened then he calmed down. Next Juniper found a water lily and made a mixture with it and some leaves. After rubbing to mixture on Vital's wounds she stepped back to see him completely healed. Vital stood next to her and they linked their tails and completely forgot about the group of dragons at the delta.
Then Juniper heard someone gasp. She swiveled around to see Parakeet, Barnacle, and two other dragons staring at her open mouthed.
