Enjoy the wonderfully crap banner I made while I was ill and bored, y'all welcome.
I smile as me and Phil walk down the quiet streets of London, the faint hum of cars zooming past in the distance and the rustling of the trees as the gust of wind breezes past.
We were walking in a quiet and content silence, enjoying nothing but the pure presence of each other as we make our way to the local park. I notice how some street lights start to illuminate the streets as the sky becomes darker, I notice how Phil walks with a slight spring to his steps and how with our height we both match pace with each other.
Phil began humming a tune under his breath and the wind was too strong for me to catch onto it at the start, but then he began to hum it louder and then eventually sang it quietly, but I still couldn't make out what it was until he all of a sudden just jumped in front of me and starting screaming the lyrics.
"HEY NOW! YOU'RE AN ALL STAR GET YOUR GAME ON, GO PLAY!" He laughed as I stood there, momentarily shocked.
I've been living with the man for a little more than a month now and not once has he ever acted like this. I never even knew he liked this song.
"Sing with me Dan!" He shouts.
"Uh, thanks, but no thanks,"
"Come on, you're no fun,"
"Phil,"
"HEY NOW YOU'RE A ROCK STAR GET THE SHOW ON GET PAID," he screams, skipping down the path.
I sigh at the man and I smile at just how cute he was. There was no denying just how unbelievably attractive and cute and funny that man way, he was surprisingly intelligent too when it comes to his never-ever necessary animal facts that he spurts out like saliva.
I take a deep breath and I sigh yet again, might as well.
"AND ALL THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD, ONLY SHOOTING STARTS CAN BREAK THE MOLD," I sing/shout along, running after him.
His eyes brightens and soon we find ourselves running towards the park which was getting closer and closer with each heavy pounding footstep that we take, it turns into a race and we went stumbling into the park, tripping over each other and we laugh as we end up on the floor, our legs tangled together, Phil on top of me.
"Hello down there," he says with a heart-stopping smirk.
"Oh shove off, I'm taller than you!" I protest, trying- without much effort mind you- to push him off from me.
"Not right now you're not."
"Phil," I whine before rolling around on the grass.
"Dan," he whines right back, dragging out the 'n' in my name.
I finally manage to pick myself up and tell myself without much confidence that I should take a trip to the gym. Yeah right. I walk over to the swings and wait for a little girl around the age of four and a boy the same age to come off the swings. It took a while but when the came off the swings we let another pair of kids on.
Soon all the kids have cleared out due to it getting even darker and me and Phil just sat swinging on the swings in a comfortable silence, having ourselves a silent competition of who can swing the highest.
Phil won. We slowed down and soon we were just gently pushing ourselves back and forth with our feet, not really doing anything.
"Dan? Are you planning on going?"
I turn to look at Phil and I give him a quizzical look.
"Going where? You want to go home?" I say, getting ready to stand up.
"No! I like it here, I meant are you planning on going to the wedding?"
I sigh. "I mean I guess so, he may be an ass, but he's a close friend,"
Phil looks confused. "Not best friend?"
I smile a little. "You're my best friend, Phil. I've felt so much closer, happier and safer with you than I ever did with Peej. Maybe it's because I can relate to you more, Peej loved social interaction while I was the polar opposite and did everything in my power to make sure I didn't have to go through it, which is ironic how I'm so lazy it's un-real,"
Phil smiles, a really big smile that makes my stomach flutter because I know it was me who put that smile on the his face. We stayed in the park for a good few hours laughing, joking and talking, but soon Phil was yawning and trying to cover it up by trying to sing the beginning of 'the circle of life' straight after.
"Come on, Philly, let's get home,"
"Why? I'm not tired," He quickly defends.
I chuckled. "No? Well personally I'm shattered,"
Phil sighed in relief. "Well, if you're going then I might as well too,"
I chuckle once again. "Alright then, let's go,"
We start on our journey back the way we came surprisingly five hours ago, we spent five hours in a park... two fully grown men... well, I personally believe we are children that can now drink and drive but not at the same time. Oh, and we can legally play and watch eighteen certificate games and films... not that it stopped anyone beforehand.
Walking shoulder to shoulder, allowed us to steal the body heat off the other to make us till we get to the house, every once in a while our hands touched and I blushed a dark shade of crimson red and I was thankful for it being so dark. dead ahead was our destination and my heart sank just a little, knowing that the little contact we were having on the way up to now would be put to a complete stop.
Stepping inside our home after being at the park till dark reminded me of my childhood, before the 'emo' faze kicked in and I decided to give people a try. I would play conkers and curby for hours since there wasn't really much to do and then I'll walk home, complaining to myself of how much my legs hurt and how I shouldn't have played that last game of Bulldog. I would walk in and I would be greeted with the sounds of laughter from Adrian my younger brother and my mom and dad up until the divorce then it was just Adrian and mom.
"Dan? You coming?"
I curtly nod my head before walking up the steps and walking into my room. I push my door to and I throw my shoes across the room, stripping off to my boxers as I walk over to my drawers to get some sleeping shorts.
"Hey, Dan? Do you possibly want to- oh dear badgers," Phil exclaimed, opening my door to see me with one leg in the air, trying to place it in the shorts leg hole.
I quickly scramble to put the shorts on and then with the brightest of cheeks still on my face, I turn to look at Phil, who unless I was mistaken, was looking up and down. I don't say anything, but I looked down knowing that if Phil saw me catching him staring at me, it was just going to make things worse than they originally were.
"Did you need something, Phil?" I ask softly, looking up.
"Uh, n-n-no, I'm good. G'night, Dan." he says before scattering off down the hallway and into his room.
I hear his door slam hurriedly and I sigh before gently closing mine closed.
"Yeah, good night, Phil."
