Tal's ears flicked. Tyrael had let it slip that he had known Cain and Tal was unsure of the way she had reacted. She was now watching from her favorite cliff as the warm breeze brushed through her fur and slightly moved the tips of her ears. The sun had only just passed its noon mark and she wasn't bothering to move. Even as she felt a nudge from her mental sanctuary signalling that they would plung headlong into the cathedral was soon to start. Tal watched from the cliff while her forepaws resting upon the fallen and blackened log beneath them the plants had been growing for some time and for that she was glad as for her it meant that life was soon to return to its usual ways but for her something was going to drastically change and soon. She huffed out a breath and heard the approching male wolves of her pack. She had selected several powerful wolves to aid in this and had informed each of them that nothing was to be harmed. They agreed and soon they would join their mates and anyone else of Tyrael's and Itherael's choices. She looked to the four that came from the shadows and nodded her greetings. Two of them were a dark brown with one being almost black; One was almost pure white with the exception of the light grey upon his back; and the last was almost sandy colored with splotches of brown, black and grey here and there. Dorn walked up and nodded. These are the four strongest males of the delta force and the five swiftest females are in the shadows. Treian is preparing the others in case demons approach while we explore the cathedral.
Good. Tal spoke calmly she would need to keep a level-head while they explored the building. Head into the area and I will be along swiftly with Xypherius and the chosen angelic mates and expedition team. She looked to the chosen wolves. I am sending you all in first to set up a patrol around the building. It needs to be safe in order for this to work out. Dorn will lead you to the area. Go and set up patrol. They left her as Dorn raced away leading the chosen few to enter the 'dome' and begin to patrol the area. Tal watched as they raced through the field and vanished from her sight. The feeling of being watched returned and she looked around only to catch a glimpse of a very familiar looking person just before he vanished. Cain? She wondered as she felt something akin to acknowledgement roll over her. She shivered and shook herself free of the feeling. She whined low; she longed to feel his touch once more. When no one else had been able to calm her warring feelings, he was able to calm her with a few simple words and a gentle touch to either the shoulder or back. When she had first shifted it had taken at least three weeks for her to return to a semi-normal life and that was made easier because of him. When Leah had come around Tal was glad to see that Cain had someone to watch over him when needed.
Leah had captured Tal's heart and Tal would have killed to protect her and had killed to keep Leah safe. Drake had once told her that with the way Tal treated Leah it was like they were "Friends, Sisters, a Protector and even as if they were Imprinted." Which had held true when Tal had left to find Leah after Cain's death. "If there's a will there's a way." Tal had the will to find Leah, she just needed the way. Then like a brick it struck her, Leah could be reached through an ancient way but it was highly dangerous. Tal thought it over and weighed her options carefully. She sat down and thought it over carefully she knew the risks but it was to dangerous for a Necromancer or a normal mortal to do, not even an Angel could do it but Tal could. She would just need someone to call her back after doing it. Her ears folded back, Xypherius would not do, yes he was her mate but his voice would not call her back, nor would Anaurael's. It would have to be someone she deeply and dearly missed beyond what Cain and Leah were.
Tal closed her eyes and a face came to her mind, an old friend of hers and she whimpered just thinking of him. Mehtan the Necromancer. She had saved his life when he was younger and they had quickly become friends, only after he realized that she was a shifter and just would not die. They had traveled together for a while then had parted ways just before the attack on her hometown. She stood and raising her head allowed a loud and long howl to escape her jaws.
