Tal watched Xypherius carefully, the past few days had been relaxing since Xypherius had asked about their wedding but now they were on edge. Xypherius paced as Tal laid back down upon the bed. She hadn't been sleeping very well the past few nights and only now could lay down to rest; as she closed her eyes Xypherius was quick to sit next to her. "Talarine what is on your mind?"
"Why?"
"Because I am worried."
"About?" She asked as she rolled onto her stomach and tucked one arm under the pillow as her head finally became comfy. Her heavy eyelids closed as he began to speak.
"Well to start: You."
"What about me?"
"Your running yourself ragged. Yes I understand that you are an Alpha but between your forge, acting as an..." he lost track as he tried to look for the word.
"Ambassador."
He nodded, "An ambassador to the Heavens for your pack, and being the Keeper of dreams you are always tired. Its not natural for you to be this tired."
"As much as I wish Xypherius, I cannot abandon my duties."
"I do have good news though."
"Oh?"
"They have found Cain."
"What?!" She jumped up with excitement. If she had been in wolf form her ears would have perked and her tail wagged uncontrollably. "They did?"
"I have never seen you this excited before over a single person."
"Xypherius Deckard Cain is much more then 'just a single person'! He helped me to work through most of my life and after my first transformation, he worked his butt off to help me coop with it. He is more then a person he is like a grandfather to me. I wish I could see him again but I would act more like a dog, whining and whimpering, then a true wolf."
"You miss him that much?"
"I would want him to be the one walking me down the aisle to you if he were still alive."
Xypherius watched carefully, the fire in her eyes seemed to glow more fiercely and brighter now that Cain had been returned in a way to this world. She is more connected to him then we know. If there is a way for him to see her, even for a moment, I must find it.
Tal sighed heavily as the fire in her eyes dimmed again. "Even if I could see him I would miss his comforting touch to much for my own health..." she laid back down and fell deeply into sleep.
From a million miles per minute to drop dead asleep in less then a second. She amazes me. Xypherius smiled as he wrapped her up in the comforter. He had things to do and was quick to do it but when he returned she was still asleep. "She must be tired after that excitement."

Tal opened her eyes, "Lovely, what do you want Diablo." She looked to the Lord of Terror with venom. He had dragged her here to a mental version of his realm to speak.
"I merely wish to speak peacefully to one such as yourself. Never before have I met one who rivaled me in the world of dreams." He spoke looking to her as his tail swished slowly back and forth.
"There is nothing you could offer to me demon. But since I believe in being civil, speak your mind." Tal was quick to call to Xypherius who watched and listened without the demon knowing.
"You are indeed civil. Much more so then Imperius, tell me why do you listen to him."
"I have my reasons, El'Diablos, and none of them concern you. Imperius may be an...irritating person... but he is kind in his own way. I would give my life to see to it that he is kept safe and happy."
"Why? He has been cruel to you and yours. Why do you care so much for him?"
He cannot understand my situation. "For the same reason you despise him. He is brave but hotheaded, I may not care much for his stubbornness, but his intentions are good."
"And you respect him?"
"He cannot understand my situation. In this world I am one of the last of my kind. I am pure, free of all taint. One day he will understand that." As Tal spoke the demon lord did not know that other things were happening and swiftly. Xypherius whispered what was happening and she continued to distract the demon. The longer they spoke the longer Tal gave Greed's minions to do his bidding. "There is another reason behind this meeting is there not?"
"There is. Amazing you can see through my facade so easily. Maybe you would make a fine ruler of the Hells, join me and rule over everything with me."
Tal walked away from him, "I will not accept that offer. As I have said I am pure, Anu has marked me as one of his chosen. My bloodlines will remain pure so long as I live, no demon's taint shall touch my brothers and sisters." Tal turned back to Diablo just as Xypherius whispered that Greed's minions had finished their job. "El'Diablos never call me back to this wretched place again. As the Princess of Night. I take from you your powers of dreams and forbid you from ever calling me again." With that Diablo roared as she vanished leaving him to his mental realm.
"I WILL SEE YOU BLED DRY AND LYING AT MY FEET WORTHLESS DOG!"
