Tal snarled as she watched the pack carefully. This does not sit well with me. She watched as the wolves paced around she had sent a scout to Caldeum only to discover that the Desert Pack was corrupted worse than what Alpha's had been. The scout had returned safely thanks to her Angelic mate but neither had stayed long enough to do anything.
Talarine what do we do? I thought all the stones had been found. Shade whined as he looked to her
No they haven't. It will be long before all Soulstones are found and claimed. Tal's ears folded back and went forward again. The pack was uneasy, the entire Desert Pack was corrupted and only Tal could challenge the Alpha in order to get anyone close to the stone with how guarded it would be.
Alpha? What if it comes down to a fight between packs? The female wolf who had been the scout asked.
Then its a fight.
Even if Imperael shows up?
If Imperael shows up there will be no need to fight. If he shows up they will be unable to do anything. Only we are accustomed to seeing him they would not know what to do. Tal looked at Shade.
Say what's on your mind, your Highness. Shade looked to her as she looked away. The pack was uneasy and she huffed.
Something I must speak with the Angels about. Something that I figure Imperius will get a kick out of to include Anaurael. Let us speak privately, the rest of you head back to town we will speak more later. As the pack went home Tal and Shade went to her cliff and could finally talk. As they spoke the subject of Xypherius came up.
Shade looked to her, What do you say about it? If he were to become an Archangel?
Xypherius cares little for it and I am not going to push him into accepting it. Besides I am in doubt that Anarius would create a whole new Aspect for it. We are different like all Angel and Wolf mates. What could it even be called?
Good point. Shade nodded. What is bothering you?
Thoughts and worries. All the normal things that any kind of leader deals with. But mostly my worry for Anaurael's safety.
What happened? Shade turned his massive head towards Tal, his ears going back as he did.
El'Diablos. I took his power over the dream world away and he threatened my life.
Shade snarled as his head went to shoulder height with tail quick to swish up and do the same as he moved a single front paw forward. He is unable to touch you! Xypherius and the others would never allow it to happen and after Imperius hears about this I doubt he would let Diablo get anywhere near you unless you served as a distraction.
And now you reminded me of another reason I must return to the High Heavens.
Now Shade looked confused as his fangs were covered by his lips. What??
Tal looked to him then away to stare out over the green lands. I have need to speak to Itherael and possibly Anarius about a reoccurring dream of my very own. I have a hunch that it is not just a dream but something else that they may have to look into. It may just be my overreaction or a possible warning of some kind.
Shade was now utterly confused but nodded. What should I tell Treian
to do the usual but first there seems to be a storm coming. Tal looked to him and his tail wagged as a single thought came to him. Tal lifted her head and howled with him doing the same and chasing after her as the pack members smiled or wagged their tails all who had shifted back to human were quick to become wolves again as they all raced to get to the field. They felt the energy in the air as the scent of clean earth rose up around them. Lightning was showing in the distance just as they reached it.
