I could barely feel my thumbs.
After hours, and hours of playing Tekken, Logan and I finally decided to stop. It was just then that I noticed that it's already dark outside.

I could already feel my stomach grumble. And just as I was looking at the clock to check the time, I heard a grumbling noise beside me.

"Oops. Sorry." Logan said patting his stomach.

I chuckled a little and replied, "You hungry too? It's already time for dinner."

"Yes please. I can't believe we played for like 6 hours non-stop!" He exclaimed.

"I know!" I answered with the same level of excitement. "What do you want to eat?"

"Hmmn. We can try to go out and try to look for a place to eat."

"Is that really a good idea? I don't know if the flood has already subsided. I mean, the rain only stopped about an hour ago. I think."

"Well, I have to go anyway. I've been invading your privacy for an entire day. I'll go check the situation outside." He replied while I turned off the xbox, which is now as hot as hell.

I grabbed my keys and wallet, "I'll come with you. So we can eat out if the flood's gone."

"I just have a tiny problem." He replied.

"What is it?"

"You see, my leather shoes are all dried up, but I don't think they go with my outfit. I mean, a shirt plus cropped sweatpants don't really go with leather." He said scratching the back of his head.

I shake my head at this, slightly chuckle and throw him some slippers. "Those are a bit small for you, but that'll do."

We both went out of my unit and walked in the elevator. He pressed the ground level button and I watched the numbers go and I count down with it in my head.

24, 23, 22, 21, 20...
This elevator sure is fast. Five floors in less than five seconds.
17, 16, 15, 14...

The lights began to blink, and the elevator started to slow down. Suddenly everything turned black and the elevator came into a halt. This isn't right.

"Oh my god! Heeeelp! Heeeelp!" I started screaming my lungs out. I couldn't see a thing and I am starting to panic.

Suddenly, someone shone a light on my face and grabbed me by the shoulders, "Hey, hey, Alex, calm down. I'm here."

"What just happened?!" I said with a shaky voice.

"I guess power's out. Let's just wait for the generator. I'm sure they are turning it on right now." He reassured me.

I nodded and he let go of my shoulder. I can't believe this. When will this day end?!

I felt myself tremble, thinking that I might have a panic attack. Why isn't this damn thing opening yet. I am breathing quicker than usual making me feel a little light headed.

I look at Logan who is now using his phone to illuminate the buttons, "There it is!" and he pressed the emergency button to notify people that we were stuck inside. A loud sound broke the silence that we were in. Now I am panicking some more.

Inhale. Exhale.
Inhale. Exhale.
Inhale. Exhale.
I chanted in my head as I was trying my best to control my breathing.

I hands start to tingle, as well as my cheeks. This is bad. I know this feeling. This is what I feel before I pass out.

So I sit down on the floor and rest my back along the walls of the elevator.
