"How's Cassie?"

His eyes widened at this, probably not expecting me to bring the name out in the open like this.

"She's doing great," he smiled and continued, "how do you know her name?"

"I heard you talking to her on the phone last night."

"Oh. Right. You know, she's really amazing." He smiles. "You have to meet her some time, but she still has school, so maybe one of these weekends or during break I'm going to introduce you to her. She's been into art lately, and it's too cute when she sends me photos of her work." His eyes beaming with pride and happiness.

"You must really love her, huh? You can't stop smiling there." I commented.

He scrunched up his forehead, "What kind of question is that? Ofcourse I do!"

A yes would have sufficed but he has to rub it in my face that he's so inlove with this girl.

Are you jealous, Alex?

Ofcourse not! Why would I be? I'm just a friend. A freakin' F-R-I-E-N-D.

But you want to be his girlfriend don't you?

Oh shut it brain!

I've just been through a bad heartbreak, and now the man I'm starting to like has a girlfriend. Thank you so much universe!

I look up, only to see Logan looking at me intently.

"What?" I ask.

"What did that bacon ever do to you? If you hate it so much I'll eat it. Stop tearing it apart!" He exclaims while grabbing the now mutilated bacon. I must've unconsciously poured out my frustrations into it. Oh well.

"Hey! That's mine!" But I was too late. He was already munching my bacon.

"You snooze, you lose!" He smiled proudly; bits and pieces of bacon still peeking at the sides of his mouth.

-----
Logan left at half past eight, and I was left all  alone in this empty unit. I got to keep myself busy!

So I cleaned everything I could and spread out my books and notes across the floor. I have to go back to studying. I have an exam on biochemistry on Monday and I haven't even reached half the coverage of the exam.

I glance at the clock, and it's already 10pm. Just the perfect time to study!
I grab my pencil case filled with highlighters and pens of different colors and start studying. I scan through the chapters that I have yet to read, and boy, is it long.

---------
The day of my exam came and I'm thrilled that it's over. But unfortunately, I have more exams. One exam a day 'til wednesday, then two exams on thursday and another two on friday. So help me God.

All I want to do is to lie down the entire afternoon. So I kick off my shoes, jump straight right into the bed, and shut my eyes.

After what felt like hours, I was awakened by notifications flooding my phone.

Ping!
My phone buzzes. To hell with that. I wanna sleep.

Ping!
My phone is way too far from my reach, and I seriously need some sleep.

Ping! Pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-pi-ping!

"Argh! Seriously." I threw my legs up and sat up. My phone continuously buzzed that I was forced to leave the comfort of my bed to check who it was. If this is Logan, I swear to god I'll kill him.
