So here I am, eating a cheeseburger and sipping coffee at 2am with a stranger. This day surely is becoming weirder than ever. And with this newfound sense of relief that I am no longer at risk of going to jail, I had the opportunity to stare at this man in front of me. And man is he gorgeous! I carefully examined him as his deep blue eyes focused on the meal he is now engulfing. He sure does have an appetite for someone as lean as him. And as I stared at him, I can't help but feel guilty, seeing several cuts on his face.

Suddenly, he looked up to me, grinning, and said, "Are you done checking me out?" while engulfing some more fries.

My eyes widened at that statement, and as if it's not enough to embarass myself by getting caught gawking at him like that, I started choking on my coffee. Smooth girl. Real smooth.

"I-uhm. I wasn't staring at you, I was just wondering what kind of settlement you'd want." Nice save!

"Actually, I haven't given it much thought yet. It just seems that a settlement is the best option to keep us both of unnecessary trouble. And I'm still mad by the way." He said in between chewing and swallowing food.

"I know. I know. And I can't be sorry enough Mr. Hart, I would do anything to make it up to you."

"Well get to that, but for now, please stop calling me Mr. Hart. You can call me Logan." He said while smiling.

"Uhmn. Okay Logan, you can tell me anything you want so I can make it up to you. But there's just one thing. I hate to be demanding at this moment, and to be honest I am really ashamed right now, but I might have to go. It's almost 3am, and still have to redo some stuff that I need to pass for tomorrow. I happen to lose some important case reports along with my bag. But I promise I won't run from you or anything. "

"Oh it's that late? Shit. I have stuff to do too. Doc Munna would definitely kill me if I don't have that case done by tomorrow." He mumbled to himself while cleaning up.

"Wait, Doc Munna? Of patho department? Don't tell me you're a med student at PPTH too?" I said, shocked by this piece of information.

"Wait. What? How do you--woah! Small world! I think we would not have a problem discussing our deal then, Ms. Starre. Maybe we can just meet up tomorrow at the med library. Sound good?"

Extending my hand toward him I said, "That'd be great. By the way, I am Alexadra Starre but you can just call me Alex and I am a first year student at PPTH. "

Shaking my hand he answered, "Logan Hart. Second year. And don't you think that just because we belong to the same school, I'd go easy on you."

"I don't expect you to. And know that I am not the type to run away from responsibilities. Though, now I really do have to go. I still have to walk a few blocks anyway so I better start going. See you tomorrow at the med library during lunch." I said standing up.

"Wait, you'll walk at this hour? After being just robbed hours ago? If you want I could give you a lift."

"I'll be fine. Don't worry." I said smiling. It was sweet of him to offer.

"I am not worried about you if that's what you think. I am worried about the unsuspecting people who are walking around. You might go crazy on them and have them tackled to the ground too!" He said chuckling.

"I won't, I promise. I won't have anyone else killed tonight. Besides, our encounter tonight scared me too much about going to jail. I don't want to experience that all over again anytime soon. Well, see you, I guess." I said as I stood.

"Wait---I insist." He said grabbing my arm. "I could atleast give you a lift. You joined me for a meal, and that's a good enough reason for me to give you a ride home. Besides, I've already proven that I am not a thief, so I guess you could trust me now?" He said with a smile that I couldn't help but give in.
