As I work on my math homework- dividing fractions, my mind starts to wonder. It usually does. I think about my math teacher and the vision I had of her yesterday, when I get a call. I pick up, (even though I don't know the number), just in case it's important.
"Hello?" I say as a question.
"Hi! It's Jordan."
"I'm sorry, do I know you?"
"Probably not, but I know you. Be at the intersection of Queen Street and Dairy Road at 6. Trust me, you'll want to be there."
Then the phone goes dead. Seriously, my battery died. What if he was going to say something else? I lay down on my bed, staring at the white ceiling. I'll go. I decide. I'll go to that intersection at that time and I'll see what he wants me to see. How will I tell my mother? I won't.

It's cold. Then again it's Canada, so when isn't it cold? I'm wearing black boots, black leggings, a black coat, black scarf, black hat and black gloves. Somehow I feel like I don't want to be seen at this meeting. If it is a meeting at all. I'm walking down Dairy Road, I can see the street sign for Queen Street in the distance. There's not many buildings around, the ground is flat. As I approach I see something on the ground. I gasp. It's a girl. With brown hair and green eyes. I realize with a start that this is the exact same girl I saw in my vision yesterday. I hear sirens approaching, their sound still far away but getting louder. I wonder who called them? Then a man walks out of the shadows- his ears are pointy and he has long, slender legs. He's wearing a green and grey suit. I stare in horror as the man from one of my other visions reaches down and rips open the girls chest. Blood spilling down her body and onto the pavement around her. I think to myself, I should be running. But my legs don't move. The man reaches into the girls chest and pulls out her heart. I've seen hearts before, I'm pictures. Never in real life. It's terrifying, blood is going everywhere. The man, heart in hand, turns around and casually walks back into the shadows. The police cars arrive first, then the ambulances, then the fire trucks. I hear people start to scream as the girls hand twitches, I hear a scientist try to calm them with lies. I finally get the feeling back in my body, I turn to run. She must have jumped! I her someone else say. From where? Do a background check! I keep running, my feet hitting the pavement faster then ever before. I'm faintly aware of the cold wind hitting my face as I run, but I don't care. I have to get away from here. I have so many questions. Who was my mom talking to on the phone the other day, and what about? Why do all my visions keep coming true? Why is this happening to me? I hadn't realized it but I was already inside my house, running up the stairs. I can hear my mom calling my name, I ignore her. I spam my door shut and jump into bed, pulling the cover over me and start to cry.
