I have a major headache. After an hour of conjugating French verbs one might get a headache. It had been a pretty ordinary week considering what had happened that one night. My visions, my dreams, had come real. Maybe not in a good wish upon a star way though. As I'm walking towards the cafeteria to eat by myself once again, my phone rings. I push open the nearest doors that lead outside, and sit on the cement step that comes after them. I don't know the number, but curiosity makes me answer anyways.
"Hello?" I say. No immediate answer, then...
"So, what did you think of that story that hit the news a couple nights ago? The one about the girl found with no heart?"
I hesitate before answering, "Are you the same person that called me the other day, telling me to go to that place? What's his name, Jordan?"
"Ha. No, Jordan's a girl. My girlfriend actually. I'm Ian." Then very sarcastically he says, "I'm a boy."
"Thanks for clarifying. Now, why do you keep calling me?"
"There's someone missing, someone very close to us. We believe you might be able to vision where they are."
"That doesn't explain why you sent me to see that scene last night."
"We need you to come to terms with your "superpower". Once that happens, you'll be able to help us."
"What if I don't want to help you?"
"Then you are making a very powerful enemy."
The call is ended. I look down at my phone. A powerful enemy? They sounded like they were about 18 or something, how could they be powerful? The beep rings and I run inside, I missed lunch but I don't really care. I make my way to class, on the way I have another vision."Hey!" The princess exclaims.
"I'm terribly sorry, ma'am." The guard said, quite embarrassed for running into the heir to the thrown. His hair was a dark, almost black colour. His eyes light blue. The princesses dress was a light blue, the same shade as the boys eyes. It was shiny and nearly touched the floor, but not quite. It was just long enough to hide her black combat boots. She'd be in a lot of trouble if she were caught wearing those. The prince had been walking down the hall, determined to the point of blindness. He was sent on a secret mission to- well it's a secret. The princess on the other hand had been lots in her thoughts, thinking about the day that should would become queen. She was dreading that day. After a few quick apologies they continue their separate ways and-"Hey!" I stumble backwards and look up, in front of me there's a boy standing there, hair as black as coal and eyes as blue as the sky on a sunny, cloudless day.
"I am so sorry!" He says and proceeds to pick up the books that I had dropped. "A teacher sent me to deliver a note to Mr.Bruns, and I barely ever get asked to do things. So, I guess, I was just walking quickly and-"
"Hey, loser." I guy comes up behind the boy. I realize he's talking to me.
"What?" I ask, scared.
"Get your books and get going, you have no business talking to the captain of the football team."
"Uh...sorry." I turn around and walk off, realizing I'm walking away from my class but I'm going to be late anyways, what's the difference? From behind me I can hear the captain of the football team saying,
"Guys I just wanted to talk to her, problem?"
One of his football friends say, "So you ran into her on purpose and made a lame excuse? Really Jesse?"
"So what? Just leave it guys."
I'm too far now to hear anything they're saying. I take a different way to class and I'm about ten minutes late.
"Where have you been?" My teacher asks.
"Bathroom, sorry." I lie and take my seat.
