Sabrina's POV

"Sabrina, there's something else I need to tell you" my mom said.

My heart started racing, palms started getting sweaty, and I was getting more dizzy by the minute. My mom noticed,
and tried to calm me down.

"Habibi, calm down. You may not like this, but we're moving to another country."

And that's when I lost it.

"YOU EXPECT ME TO MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY" I started screaming. "It's worse that I have to move, but to another country! "

"What country?" I asked

"London. London, England." She said

"That's halfway across the world!" I yelled.

"I know, but your father got an amazing job that pays so much. It's a new opportunity to start over." She explained.

"I don't want to start over. I love my life the way it is right now. Alhumduilah!" I pleaded.

"I'm sorry. It's just the way it is. Try going to bed now. Have a nice night, inshallah." Mom said, as she gave me a kiss on the forehead. She left my room, and closed the door on her way.

I stayed up that whole night. My mind kept wondering back to the conversation I had with my mom. Why are they making me move? I love my life over here. But then I thought that I was being ungrateful, and I should be thankful for this move.

This move is going to have some benefits. I'm going to England! I'll have a masjid next to my house! And hopefully I'll break out of my shell, and meet new friends.

*Next morning*

I woke up with bags under my eyes. This is what I get for staying up late. I rushed off to the bathroom to fix this mess.

I took a long, hot shower to make me calm and relaxed.

After that, I prayed, and got dressed. Today I wore a black skirt. For my top, I wore a baggy blue sweater, that didn't show anything. For my hijab, I had a blue hijab with silver studs. For shoes, I had my black TOMS. I didn't wear any accessories.

I walked downstairs, and my cheek was met by my moms lips.

"Salam Sabrina" she said. She took a plate full of food to my dad that was sitting at the table. She came back to the kitchen, and asked me

"Are you hungry? I made all of your favorite foods."

She seemed so happy, and I looked over at my dad, and he seemed happy too. It finally hit me. I was being, selfish. They do so much to make me happy. This should be my turn to make them happy.

"I can't wait to move, and start fresh." I blurted out.

My parents looked at me with a shocked face.

I gave both of them a kiss, and grabbed my back bag, and left the door.

When I reached my car, I remembered that I forgot my textbook in the living room. I went back to the house, and overheard something that made me happy.

They were talking about how they were finally...
