Sabrina's POV

I saw my parents, and immediately ducked under my chair.

"What are you doing?" Mohamed asked

"My parents are there, and I'm alone with a boy. What do you think I'm doing?" I said quietly

I heard footsteps coming toward the table, and knew it was them.

"Mohamed, is it?" my parents asked as they approached my table.

"Yes. How are you?" he replied politely

"We're fine. What are you doing here?" my mom said sweetly

"Just here with my sister. She went to the car to get something." He said

"That's good. But where's Sabrina?" my dad asked

"She went back home. I recently dropped her off, then we came here." He said

"Oh great! We're going to be sitting over there" my mom said pointing on front of us."

"The opposite side of the restaurant has faster service and amazing seats. I know because I work here." He suggested

"Thank you! Well, I hope you have a good dinner. Nice seeing you." My mom and dad said

I heard their footsteps leaving, and heard Mohamed say "clear"

"Thanks for that. When did you learn how to lie?" I asked jokingly

"I have skills you don't know about." He replied

After a couple of seconds, I remembered that he still didn't answer the question.

"So about that question" I said

"What about it?"

"Well, can I have an answer ?" I said

"I don't think you're ready for the answer."

"I wanna know" I said

He sighed, and replied

"It's you. I'm head over heels for you. But I doubt that you feel the same way." He said

I smiled, and replied back with an answer

"I feel the exact way about you." I said

His head jumped up, and his eyes went big.

"Are you serious?" He asked

"Yes. I mean how could I not like you?" I replied

"This is amazing. I mean, what's next?" he said

"I was just about to ask you that." I said

"I'm not ready for for marriage." He said

"Me too! I need to at least be in college." I said

"I have an idea." He said

"What's up?"

"How about we, I don't know, date?" he said

"Are you kidding? We're Muslims. We can't do that." I said

"We don't have to. It's just an idea instead getting married"

"I'm sorry for blowing up on you." I apologized.

"How about....?" He said

"Okay." I said

"Okay what?" he said

"Okay to the idea of us dating" I said

"Really? If you don't want to do it, I'm okay with that."

"No. I don't want to wait a million years. And then in a couple of months or so, we can start thinking about the idea of marriage." I said

"I think that's a good idea."

After a while, Amina finally returned.

"What took you so long?" I asked

"My phone fell under the seat." She said

"So, what did you guys do while I was gone?" she asked

"Just talked" Mohamed said

After we finished our meals, we left to go back to the house.

"I'll see you guys tomorrow inshallah" I said to them as I left

I came home to a quiet and lonely house. I went upstairs and changed into more comfortable clothes.

I started packing up my room since I was leaving in less then a week.

After I finished that, I climbed into my bed, and went on my phone.

I lay in bed, and started thinking about the days events.

Hopefully I wasn't making the wrong decision.

Just as I was about to fall asleep, I heard my phone beep, and I read the message.

"Goodnight beautiful. Inshallah I'll see your gorgeous face tomorrow"
Mohamed texted me

From that moment on, I knew I made the right decision

Or was this just a test?
