Chapter 12: Corpse

"Which human male? ", my minds swirls in a frenzy of negative images of my.. my mate.

"A human male who must have come from the nearby houses to hunt. "

I still held my breath, releasing bits of air bit by bit. My straight face was still present.

"You said not from your pack right? "

"Yes that's correct." confusion lay in his tone.

"Okay, please show both Lucas and I to the conflict."

"Of course. You must check out the note left on the body it isn't any good news. "

"Of course it wouldn't be" I state with sarcasm.

Lucas and I followed Carlson outside towards the Red Moon's border line.

Lucas let out a strangled growl, that made me breathe in deeply the horrid rancid stench of dried blood, rotting flesh and slight stench of urine?

We all walked with heavier steps towards the rotten corpse, me following Lucas's steps by his scent.

The crunch of the leaves under our feet grew and the blood left lingering in the air had me feeling uncomfortable, but I showed no signs.

A much familiar scent drifted my way.

Rouges!

Tori, had left a ground shattering growl which I released in human form.

"What is it? " Lucas's voice was what brought me out of the almost flashback.

"Those damn rouges will pay for messing with you Lucas and don't you forget." I let out a low sigh before carrying on, " Those filthy horrid idiots we're the ones who were also involved with the slaughter of my mother and father and yes that rumour is true. Those hand full of foul creatures got away, they were more than injured and had a less chance of survival. And it's funny how they are still alive and somehow ready for another war."

"And they would be paying, Alpha Carly." Lucas backed me up with my goal.

With the two men on my trail, I walked with fast werewolf pace towards the body.

Carlson went much closer to the body and with a noise of a rustling paper I knew he had picked the note left on the deformed body.

The note was passed to Lucas, which I was glad for. Both
still didn't know of my condition, actually no one who was outside my pack knew.

Whilst both Carlson and Lucas we're going over the note, I took the time to sniff around and look for clues.

After a few minutes of pacing around the area for more familiar scents and with no clue. a call of my name made me silently make my way back towards Lucas and Carlson who seemed ready to let me know of the situation.

"We should discuss this in my office."

"Of course, if that's what you would like to do." Facing towards the most strongest scent of Carlson, " Gather the warriors and my gamma try to follow the scent get some leads, oh and please do bury the body."

"Of course, Alpha Carly. "

With that both me and Lucas head back into the pack house which made my body slightly relax and smelt much better than the end of the territory.

Once we had made our way, pack members we running around in a panic. My body was soon back into it's rigid posture, it also started to become much warmer and felt like Tori wanted to take control.

Carly: Tori! What the hell?

Tori: I can't control....to much

Carly: I..

A feral growl was released by me, "What is happening?"

A young women answered and replied, "A young man had fainted, he's in the midst of the crowd."

Thanking the timid women, I make my pretense known and with each step I took my body grew warmer and shot with blasting tingles

In the middle of the crowd lay my mate.

I'm on a roll...two updates in one day but both are short but still updates right.
