Me and Steven walk out of the 'Donut Store' .I have made my final decision on which donut I wanted , the brown one also known as chocolate. 

The Sadie was very...tolerable but the Lars was ....questionable and reffered to me as Steven's 'girlfriend'  .

 I cant help but to ponder what it could mean... Could it be good or bad . Maybe I'll ask Steven . 

"So Steven... I heard the 'Lars' say 'girlfriend' . What is 'girlfriend' ?" I ask him . 

"Oh well i-Its" He says nervously . Steven pauses for a moment thinking . 

' Out with the answer already!' I tap my foot a little impatiently . 

"Well you see Peridot , when a boy and a girl are in love and-" 

"Hey Steven!" A voice calls out from behind us . 'Love? ....' I turn around to spot a human girl with long brown hair running towards Steven . 

"Connie!!!" I hear shout back and the girl gives him a hug . 'Connie ?...' I flash back to multiple times where Steven has mention the name . 

 "What brings you hear?!" Steven asks her with thrill in his voice . 

"Oh nothing much , I just had some freetime and my parents said I could come and hangout."She returned the excitement .

 "Yay we can play hide n seek around the barn!" He cheers with excitement . I get this unpleasent feeling while watching them . Steven turns and makes I conctact with me .

 "Connie this is Peridot! You guys get to meet for the first time ." Steven puts an arm around me .

 "Hey Peridot , I heard alot about you , Im Connie." Her smile sorta fade a little and she waves at me . 

"Hi." I respond simply . 

It then gets silent and then Steven suggest we walk back to the barn together . 

I watch as Steven and Connie talk to each other as we walk back and I feel a little sadness rise over me . 'Why am I getting sad so sudden , I dont even care!' I cross my arms and look down . 

When we make up to the barn I am met with an unpatient Pearl . "It's about time! Get to work Peridot ." I groan and pick up my screw driver .'Why am I taking orders from a Pearl anyway , ugh'

 As I screw in the last bolts , I watch Steven and Connie laugh and talk . I frown and I began to feel sadness over whelm me . 

Steven catches my eye and I immediately turn away .

 Unstead the warm feeling I usually get , cold sadness and anger boil inside of me . "Hey Peridot!" I hear Steven call out to me .

 "What !" I respond harshly . 

"Do you want to hang with me and Connie?!" He asked . 

"No Im good." I reject his offer .

 "Pleaseeeee." He begs me . "I said no."I cross my arms and look away . 

"Pretty pleaseeee" He begs again . 

"I said Im not going to-" He grabs my wrist anyway . 

"C'mon it'll be fun , we're playing hide and seek!" He smiles at me .
