Exhausted Aftermath

Steven's Pov

I let out a loud sigh. ' This has been one heck of a night...' I groan and then let out a yawn. 

'I'll ask Pearl if we can stay at the beach house tonight, I really want to sleep in my bed again '  I rub my eye tiredly while my other hand stayed interlaced with Peridot's. 

I take a peek at her and she's staring at the ground spaced out with an exhausted look on her face. 'Maybe she's tired too...I don't think we'll do the Ferris Wheel tonight...even though I really wanted to ride with her right now just seems like a bad time.' I glance up at the glowing Ferris wheel.

 I sigh and think about how the whole thing with Connie went down. ' That was so terrible...leaving on this note may make this a bad memory for Peridot and I really wanted her to remeber tonight as something special...everything was fine until Connie ruined it with her drama. I can't believe her! She was acting insane about me and it was really uncomfortable...and the things she said about Peridot...It'll be hard to ever forgive her after this'

 I look back at Peridot .' She really looks like she's thinking deeply about something...I sorta wish I knew what.'I remember her adorable flustered expression after I told her I liked her and I smile to myself . ' She never fails to stop being adorable.' I then let out a sigh . 

'I wonder what her reaction would be if I told her how I really felt about her...She probably would ...hmmm I wonder what she would do??' Our eyes suddenly meet and I flush a little. 

"You okay now Dot?" I move in closer towards her. "Y-Yeah I'm fine now..." She mumbles and looks away shyly. 

'Is she still shy around me??? I thought she got used to it...I wonder why'  

"In the mood for one more ride???" I ask her hopefully 

'Maybe we should end it off with the Ferris Wheel just to end it off on a better note.'

 She hesistates "That depends... as long as it's none of those 'roller coaster' " She groans and I hear her yawn a little . 

"Are you sure you're not too tired? I mean it's okay if your tired I am too." I lean in closer towards her .

 "I am a little...worn out." She admits . 

"B-But I'll go on if you want to!!" She then tugs on my shirt . 

"Well okay...Oh wait I almost forgot , before we do anything we have to find Amethyst and Pearl." Peridot groans . 

"Ugh whyyyyy , cant we just..." Her face flushes up .

 "S-Stay alone..." She mumbles the last part and I feel my cheeks heat up .I stare at her for a moment

'I-I never heard Peridot say something like this before...w-wait could she , could she feel...someway about me . I sorta want to know...' Before I could respond she gets embarrased and flustered. 

"N-Nevermind! Let's just go find them already!" She pulls me forward and we start searching for them.
