We make it to the front of the line within 5 minutes . We watch as the ride let's off the last people before it was our turn to get on . "So it'll just be you two riding alone? " The rude operator smiles at us . " Yup , Just me and my bestfriend ." I respond cheerfully . I turn to Peridot and give her wink , she blushes right away . I chuckle a little and she smiles back at me slightly .' Then I grab her hand and pull her a little closer . " Well arent you guys adorable , enjoy your ride ." The ride operator smiles at us one last time before opening the gate letting us go to our cart . 

 "Thanks ." I wave to the lady as we walked towards the cart . "Oh cool we get the red one!" I turn to Peridot . "Meh red is okay I guess . Green would of been a nice color maybe ." She shrugs . We walk up to the cart , and I move aside so she could get in first . Then I notice her grunting and trying to climb into it , she then shortly turn to me . "I-I need help..." She sighs  . " Okay dokey." I help her get into the cart and then I climbed up into the cart . 

The cart wobbles a little and she trembles a little bit and then clutches the handle bars . "Are you ready for this? " I ask her . She anxiously nods her head . "Y-Yeah " She stutters a little bit and I can see a look of uncertainty . " You know if your still a little nervous , you can hang on to me if you like ." I offer and blush a little . 

" No no that wouldnt be neccesary , I'm f-" before she was able to finish her responce the ride start to lift up . "Aah! i-it's starting !" She immediately clings to me . The ride slowly lifts up higher and higher into the air . She trembles even more and shuts her eyes . I chuckle a little " C'mon Dot , open your eyes at least." I poke her . "N-No I w-want to keep my eyes closed ." She doesnt budge and she keeps her hands over her eyes. I let out a sigh ' If she would just open her eyes , she'll realize it how calming this is .' We start to rise up higher and the view of all of beach city appears before us . "Whoa this view is amazing ...." I gaze out in amazement . ' I would of never imagine it look this good , it looks even better than the last time I came on here .' I then poke Peridot again .

 "Peridot open your eyes , c'mon at least one peak" I beg her . "B-But it's too high ..." Peridot mumbles . "C'mon Peridot it's really beautiful , your going to like it . I promise it's not going to be that scary." I sigh and I try remove her hands from her eyes but she holds them in place very firmly. "Y-You promise??" She says softly . " Yes , just open your eyes." I smile at her adorableness. She gulps and her hands shortly start to loosen from her face and then I remove her hands from her eyes . 

Her eyes slowly open and then I start to see the look of amazement grow in her eyes . "Woaaaah." Her jaw drops as she faces the view . 'Finally... she gave in.'  I watch as she takes in the view . The moonlight refelcting on her eyes . "T-This is...b-beautiful." She gasps . "See I told you so , now is this so scary." I laugh and elbow her . "I guess I was over reacting." She laughs and scratches her head .  "Heh I guess it is a little intimidating once you really look at this ride. I remeber my first time riding the Ferris Wheel , I literally almost cried the whole time until my dad told me to open my eyes. Just like you at first I didnt want to but , once I finally opened my eye's the view was amazing . I couldnt take my eyes off of it ." I sigh and flash back . 'I remeber that time like it was yestuday.' I stare out into the sky and up at the stars .

 " This dad...I think I recall seeing him at your birth party. Is he the hairy one?" Peridot asks . "Haha yes that's him ." I laugh at the way she described him . ' Weird I dont really remeber seeing Peridot all day that day. I guess she might of been working on the drill at the time. She could of taken a break to at least spend time with us...' I turn towards her. "Hey Peridot , why is it that I didnt really see you that day?" I decide to ask her . She looks me right in the eye and then away . " Pearl put me in charge of the drill so I was working on the drill." Peridot gives me the obvious answer .

"Oh." I let out a sigh knowing the answer already. "Why do you ask?" She questions . "Oh I was just curious . Did you ever want to join us?" I ask her . She hesitates for a moment ." At first I thought it was foolish to celebrate anything when there was still work needed to be done ... But then when I heard all th fun you guys were having I sorta felt...alone ." Peridot looks down sadly . I start to feel guilty . ' She felt lonely? Now that I think of it I was too busy with the party and everything that I didnt really notice ...I bet it would of been even more awesome if she was there . "Peridot...I wish you came .I bet we could of had so much fun . Playing games , dancing , hanging out..." I look into her eyes . " But what difference would I have made... I mean you were already having so much fun with Connie and the gems , I don't know what I would of done...probably just stand in the corner ." Her voice trails off. "Peridot , you-" . 

"C'mon Steven , I barely know anything about Earth let alone particpate in one of your parties . I'm just so naive and I know nothing about what humans do an , I dont even know how you can hang out with me. I'm just a-" "Peridot! Just listen to me ." I let out a frustrated sigh . " I dont get why you always like to put yourself down! Peridot can't you see I like to hangout with you and your really amazing I wish you could just see that! I wish that you could just feel good about yourself. Just because your from somewhere else that doesnt make you less than everyone else! I wish you could stop doubting yourself and feel good about yourself Peridot because you are... I just wish that you could see that I-I..." I stop and look down .

 'M-maybe I should just stop...maybe she she doesnt feel the sameway after all...I'm getting too ahead of myself , who am I to think she would like me back.' I frown and sadness dwels within me ."You know what nevermind Peridot..." I quietly said.

 The rest of the ride is quiet until we get to the bottom . As we reach the bottom I hop out the cart without turning back to look at Peridot . "Hope you enjoyed your ride have a goodnight!" The ride operator chirped . I dont look at her as I silently walk out of the ride . "Hey lovebirds! Enjoyed your lovefest!?" Amethyst giggles . "Amethyst I'm not in the mood right now..." I utter . "Oh..." Amethyst then looks at the both of us . "Well let's go meet Pearl . Being her bird self she probably already flew home!" Amethyst laughs out loud . 

We both dont say anything . 

(Hey guys . I know I might of scared some of you the last chapter and I'm sorry I felt a bit over whelmed and stressed because my chapters arestarting to stress out longer but after a break and time to think , I got the will to continue . I WILL FINISH THIS STORY , AND I WILL FINISH IT GOOD I WONT LET MY FELLOW STEVIDOT SHIPPERS DOWN . I love you guys and I will finish the story and put my best foot forawrd . I have created a schedule for when I update so it wont be everyday . I will update tuesdays , thursdays , and saturdays . I will update fridays and mondays depending on how I feel  .
