I quickly push the tape in and scurry over to the couch .
' Werid this is the one movie I havent watched out of the rest of the tapes' I think to myself and look over at Peridot who boredly stared at the T.V. ' At least this her first time too , but this is kinda werid for a first movie...' The movie starts up .
We start watching it for an 1 hour and Peridot finally starts to talk . "WHY IS HE RUNNING THAT WAY! THE NIGHTMARE REAPER IS AROUND THE CORNER! These dull pebbles dont even know what their doing!" Peridot huffed .
I take a bite out of my donut " True but they did steal the key to the gate in order to get out ." I shifted my position .
"Yeah but they didnt even lock the gate so the reaper escaped and could get them at any given moment .These clods wouldnt even know what to do if it wasnt for-" A sudden loud thump from downstairs startles her .
"W-What was that?!" She gasps and fearfully huddles closely to me .
"I-I don't know..." I nervously pause the T.V. to listen more . Seconds later , the thumping startles us again ,this time more loud and intense . Peridot starts shaking nervously .
"M-maybe it's the...nightmare reaper and he's come to kidnap us!!" Peridot sqeaked , slowly burying her face into my shirt .
"Peridot , the nightmare reaper doesnt exist." I explain . "W-what." She stares at me with a panicked mixed with a look of confusion on her face .
'I knew I shouldnt have showded her that movie.' I sigh to myself . I place a hand on her shoulder .
" Well , movies arent real , theyre just made to entertain people . Maybe I shouldnt have let you watch this , It seems a bit too scary for you-"
"I-Im not scared! Who said I was scared? Im j-just...very nervous." She blushes and looks around the barn .
"Peridot your shaking and-" Another loud thump come from downstairs startling both of us and causing Peridot to instantly cling to me .
"Well you dont have to be scared if you are... Nothings going to hurt you ok? How about I go check the noise out and you can stay up here and relax. " I take a deep breath in and I courageously stand up from the sofa .
"St-Steven! Wait!" She tugs my arm back .
"Y-yeah" I turn to look at her .She pauses for a moment ,her cheeks start to flush and she avoids my eye contact .
"L-Let me go with you . y-you know ... just to make sure t-that you don't trip or something." She speaks softly .
"Okay but... we have to stay together." I take her hand .
