I stare at Steven as he walks off and I groan . 'Great Connie's calling him on his Earth comunication device or whatever it's called... What could they even need to talk about right now! She's exactly a waste of Steven's time... Why does he even like her? Maybe because she's exactly like him in someways , or maybe she's smarter than me when it comes to Earth ....or maybe-" Amethyst steps right in front of me and disconnects me from my thoughts .

 "Watcha thinking about Peri? " She raises her eye brows at me in that annoying way . "My thoughts are none of your business! " I cross my arms .

 "I bet your jelous that Connie's talking to him right now?" Amethyst takes a guess and she guesses correctly . 

"N-No! I mean w-why would I-I dont like him like that-I-I mean why would I be jelous... Sure she's known him longer and she knows everything about him...and they get along super well and they sure talk a lot and..." My voice starts to trail off as I began to feel more and more upset . 

"She would be the best match for him instead of me..." I then stare at the small sea shell in my hand. 

"Oh c'mon Peridot let's not draw conclusions  . Think of all the times Steven's done nice things to you , I mean just a minute ago you guys were sure hugging tightly like you two guys were inlove!" Amethyst acknowledged . 

I start to think about all the small things that made me happy , like the way he grabbed held my hand in the kindergarden and when we were walking to the big donut , how he smiles at me , h-how he points out when Im blushing , how he asked if I was okay after I jumped off the drill , how he stood up to me when I was-

 "Uh Peridot?! Earth to Peridot" Amethyst snickers as she tries to get my attention again . 

"H-huh w-what? " I snap out of my thoughts .

 "Your face is as red as the barn now!" Amethyst starts bursting out in laughter . 

"I-Its not funny!" I yell at her . 

"Anyway , Peridot if you have feelings for Steven why dont you just fess up already! The longer you hold it in the more time Connie has for Steven to accept her feelings ." My eyes widen at her statement

  "Here let's practice if you like!" Amethyst shape shifts into Steven . 

"Whats up Dot?" Amethyst mocks Stevens voice . 

"Amethyst first of all , I AM NOT DOING THIS and second , I dont need your help! Im fine on my own and I would prefer if you would quit teasing me! and just keep this as a secret! " I growl at her .

 She shape shifts back to normal . "Whateves Peridot but if Steven accepts Connie's feelings instead of yours dont come running to me ." Amethyst shrugs and I sorta panic . 'W-wait am I making a mistake...' I think to myself .

 "Hey guys!!" Steven runs back to us excitingly with a big smile on his face .

 " Connie said that there's a new ride opening at Funland tonight and her parents are taking her! We should go join her!" Steven offers the idea up .

 "That sounds AWESOME!" Amethyst exclaimed . 

' Great 'Funland' another human thing I have completely no idea about . 

"What is 'Funland'?" I question it . 

"Oh it's just only the most amazing amusement park in beachcity! It has games , music , rides , candy and it even has a huge Feris Wheel ! Peridot if you go I bet you'll have a blast." Steven jumps up and down . ' Hmmm 'Funland ' 'games, rides, and music' I anaylze the words in my head . " Sounds intriguing but I must-" Amethyst cuts me off . 

"Yeah Peridot you should go after all your bestfriend Connie is going to be there and if you dont go your chances of St-" I place my hand over Amethyst mouth before she blabs out my whole secret infront of Steven . 

" Anyway I have decided that I shall be going to this 'Funland ' Only to study the activity and behavior of the humans so I can learn for myself " I declare .

 "Yay! Your going to have so much fun!!" Steven laughs and takes my hands out of nowhere and spins me around . 

"St-stop that!" I pull away my aching right arm that was still a little sore  from the fall . 

"Oh s-sorry , I forgot..." Steven frowns and stares at  . "Oh I forgot to tell Garnet and Pearl be right back! " He runs into the barn .

 " Excited Peridot? Maybe at some point you could get some alone time with Steven ." She starts to wiggle her eye brows .

 " Enought of this Amethyst! I am sick and tired of you trying to help me and besides it's not like I'll even have a chance! Connie's known him longer ." I sigh . 

"C'mon Peri dont be a quitter just keep trying and do whatever you do  because aparrently Steven thinks your amazing ." Steven runs out of the barn . 

"Yay! Garnet says we can go as long as we all stick together! Oh and Pearl is coming too!"  He smiled . 

"Woo Hoo! Im ready to eat me some cotton candy" Amethyst cheers and I watch them slap eachother's hands . 

He then holds his hand up to me also . ' What?! does he want me to shake his hand or slap it??? Ugh I dont get any of these human gestures!!' He starts to notice Im confused .

 " It's called a High Five , people do it to show that their excited or happy about something or if someone does a great job at something .  All you just have to do is yell High Five and hit their hand , like this..." He demonstrates .

 "High Five Amethyst!" H chuckles and puts his hand up . "Yeah high five!" Amethyst hits his hand back . " Now you try it ." He smiled .

 "Okay..." I look at him unsurely and then I raise my wobbly hand up slowly . 

"H-High Five???" I say nervously . 

"That was good , but this time say it more louder with more energy so it be more effective ." He high fives it and then gives me another chance . 

I get a bit frustrated " Is the point in this useless hand gesture?!" I ask them . 

" Well Peridot if it's making you frustrated you dont have to do it, it's just sorta new thing to learn for fun . So you dont have to any-"

 "N-no I'll do it just give me a moment!" I then take a gulp .

 'Ok Here goes ...' I let out the most enthusiastic smile I could get and I raise my hand up . "High Five!!!" I exclaim .

 "Yeah that's the spirit Peridot!! But it was a little too forced but you'll have time to work on it!" Steven laughs and puts his arm around me . 'That was... actually a little... fun' I start to smile a little to myself and Steven starts to notice and he pokes my cheek ." I see you smiling..." He manages to make me blush again .

Pearl walks out of the barn ." Ok everyone lets get going we'll need to walk a little fast if we want to get  there in time . According to Steven , It's free entry tonight for the first 20 cutomers who come before 6:30 pm and right now it's 5:47 pm so let's get moving and when we get there I shall set some rules." Pearl motioned us to walk and we started to walk down the hill .
