Trying Times

Silent Treatment

Beast Boy sighed, taking his eyes off the water, He knew he'd been quiet. He felt Raven tried to read his mind and shut her out. He felt terrible. Sighing again, he went inside. He wanted to hold her. Wanted to kiss her. Wanted to feel himself tangled up her warmth. Instead the room was quiet, a key was missing and so was Raven. A note was left behind.
"Gar -
I don't know what I've done to deserve this treatment from you. I thought we had a great time today, but I know something is on your mind. I went for a walk. Maybe you needed to be alone. I love you always and forever. - Rae"
He set the note down.
"What have I done?" He said out loud to no one. "She thinks she did something and when she's been nothing less than an angel. I gotta find her, before my dumbass loses her." With that, he turned into a gull and flew out from the balcony.
Flying close to the shore, he frantically tried to find his purple haired love. He flew down to a girl who had her hood up only to realize it wasn't Raven. Nor a girl. Just a druggie with a needle.
"ew.. " he thought.
Setting down, he morphed into a hound and with some success, he picked up her scent. Howling softly, he traced after her. He wanted to tell her what was wrong. He wanted to tell her he loved her. He wanted to hold her. Save her. Loved her. Everything. Finally finding her figure, sitting on the sand, facing the rough surf. Her head in her hands crying. His heart sank. He never wanted her to cry. Maybe tears of joy, but not this. Changing back to himself, he gently placed a hand on her shoulder. She grasped at the touch and turned. Tears streamed down her face. His heart thudded.
"Raven! I..You weren't in the room.. and I was worried.. I got your note.. I'm sorry."
He fell beside her and took her hands into his.
"Raven. I love you. I've been afraid I'd lose you. Ever since I met you I just knew you were meant for me. I'm sorry I've been quiet. I had something on my mind... I want to have a baby. I know it's too soon. I know. I know. But those kids at the pool.. How they laughed and cheered.. I knew in my heart..I want to be a dad.. We'd have the most beautiful kids since their mother is the most beautiful woman in the world." He let out a small chuckle. "Raven I love you to the moon and the back. I want us to be a family. And I.."
Hushing him with her finger, she smiled while he wiped her eyes away.
"Are you ready for the diaper changing? 2am bottle feedings? I don't know if I can even have children since I'm half demon.."
"And half human Rae.."
"Yes half of me is human.. we can talk about this. I, too, want kids. You looked like you were in heaven playing with those kids. Yes Gar we can start a family. But after we get married please."
"Then let's get married!"
"Right now? But this is Cyborg's-"
"Rae, Cy can have this as his special vacation. I mean let's get married when we go back to the tower. Please?"
"But there is so much to plan.. Gar the invites, church, dresses, suites and -"
"Make it simple. We don't need all that. Rae all I want is you, walking down the aisle towards me. You can wear a black dress or even a tshirt and shorts for all I care. Maybe it's rushing, but I want you to be happy."
"I am happy. Hell we can get married at the courthouse, but Gar one thing. If we get pregnant, how will I fight if there is any fighting to do?"
"You won't. I forbid it. But until that time comes.."
They talked some more about wedding and baby plans. Raven was excited about wanting a baby. Even her emotions were thrilled with having a little demon/human/shape shifter to coo over.
The couple hand in hand headed back to the hotel. Beast Boy had won Raven a stuffed gorilla while him and Robin had played midway games. Once inside, there was a knock on their door. Star and Robin wanted to watch a movie, it was only 9 at night. Everyone's guess was that Cyborg and Bee were having a good time. Hopefully things will go according to his plan.
The two couples were watching a cheap horror flick about the same old plot of a group of kids.. yadeyadeya.. car breaks down. . Blah blah blah and a killer. Yet on the part where the killer rushes the door and break it open, the girls scream as the front door bounces open. In comes Cyborg and Bee laughing hysterical. The boys all high five while Bee giggled, showing off the glistening ring to the girls. Everyone was super excited for the newly engaged couple.
