Trying Times

Always and Forever

The next day, the 4 were dismissed to go home. Cyborg with Bee brought the Tcar to the front of the hospital as Beast Boy wheeled a stunning grey toned Raven outside. She was smiling and cooing at both of the twins. Bee got out of the car and helped Raven in as Beast Boy buckled the children into their infant car seats. The drove home was uncomfortable as Raven's stitches bothered her over every bump or pothole in the roads. Beast Boy fell asleep during the drive, Bee talked at the babies with baby talk while Cyborg was just in a fanatic mood.
"Just think I'm an uncle to twin besties. God the world is doomed!" He joked.
Beast Boy, who had his eyes closed, fake punched Cy as they drove home.
Starfire and Robin had set up Beast Boy's old room as the nursery for the twins. They had the Jungle themed cribs, changing tables and a rocker set up. The rocker sat near the window that overlooked the Bay. There was a toy box with infant toys and a small bookshelf by the door with nursery rhymes theme books. Their daughter had taken Terra's old room.
Once the new parents came through the door, the twins were put into their cribs as they were sound asleep. Raven couldn't thank her friends enough for the nursery room. Beast Boy went into their bedroom and laid down with a baby monitor in his hand. Raven came in a short time later, changed for her shower and stepped in.
The hot water felt good on her skin as she lathered up with lavender soap. She shampooed and conditioned her hair, rinsed off and stepped out into the steamed up room. On the mirror, she saw something that made her smile.
"I love you to the moon and back my wonderful wife and mother of my children." was written in the steam.
Stepping into some clean clothes, she walked out into her bedroom, her husband snoring into the air. She used the communicator, got Bee and asked if it were alright if she watched the babies so she may take a nap. Bee didn't hesitate to say yes and told her to get napping as she and Cyborg would take care of the twins while Raven gained her strength. Thanking her friend, she clocked closed the communicator and cuddled up with her husband. Wrapping his arm around her still healing body, Beast Boy smiled into the nape of her neck and whispered
"I love you to the moon and back mama."
" I love you always and forever father to our beautiful children and the best thing that has ever happened to me."
And with that they fell asleep smiling. Dreaming the most wondrous dreams of the future with their children and themselves.
