Back at the Tower, Cyborg and Bee went with Robin and Starfire to the movies while the expecting couple went for their walk. Star was worried for her friends being more and more less active with the group. Robin and Bee assured her it the baby news plus emotions. Cyborg told her Beast Boy was more quiet from his worry with Raven and their unborn baby. Starfire felt a little better, but wish she knew how to make her friends feel happier.
While out on their walk, Beast Boy, as a husky, was on a short leash walking next to Raven. He never left her side. His gut, even in dog form, had that terrible feeling. He didn't know what it meant, but thought his wife was right "probably just my nerves."
Heading towards the bay, the water was twinkling in the evening sun. Raven holding onto the leash lightly, signed a little bit. Beast Boy looked up, transforming back into himself, he placed his hand into her. They fit together like gloves. Resting her head against his shoulder, she looked onward to the shore.
"Beast Boy?"
"Yes?"
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing my love. Yet something feels wrong"
"Well maybe you have developed the pregnant dad anxiety." She joked.
There were no villains for them to fight. No people around who would harm them. So why the worry? He thought.
They walked back, hand in hand, towards the tower.
"Aww look at the happy couple!" came a voice Beast Boy never wanted to hear again.
"Terra!" he screamed, "What the fuck are you doing here?!"
"I came back to see how the man who truly cared for me was doing, but seeing you are with the demon bitch, I'd say you are dumber than a box of rocks!" She screamed and with fists in the air, her eyes glowed a yellow as blonde as her hair and she lifted up a few boulders. She flung one at Beast Boy, who shifted into a Rhino and smashed it with his horn. She flung 2 more at the expecting mother to be Raven. Raven gained enough dark magic to shield herself from the attack, but the pregnancy drained her quickly. She fell to the ground as a boulder came at her chest.
Terra meant business this time. She was beyond angry that Beast Boy would pick the empath over this blonde beauty. She lunged boulder after larger rock on the two titans. Beast Boy charged after Terra and finally getting the best of her, knocked her off and then grabbed her up by the collar of her black shirt.
"Leave me and my family alone you ungrateful bitch! Raven is my future and you are the past. Get over it already!!" he said in a low growl. He spat in her face in pure rage and threw her down on the ground. "You harm a hair on my wife and I'll see to it you'll never see the outside world again you horrible excuse for a woman."
"Beast Boy why chose her over me?" she choked out.
"Because she never left me. Never used me. Never made me feel alone. Like you did." He narrowed his emerald eyes at her.
"Beast Boy I had to because of Slade!"
"No more EXCUSES! I don't love you. I am over you. Raven sat with me many nights on the rooftop as a friend. Many nights I would dream for you back. But then I woke up. The nightmare ended. And all I had left was her. The demon you speak of is my angel."
"You're stupid grass stain. She will only suck your soul an-"
"Enough!" He roared out and with one finally smack, he nailed her across the face. The Beast didn't like anyone talking about his mate like that. She finally shut her mouth and was dismissed to the authorities. As more lights came across the field clutching her stomach, she couldn't speak just uttered small groans of pain.
Beast Boy was quick to wrap his arms around his beloved. He felt her pain and saw it in her eyes. An ambulance came quickly. Raven laid down on the bench and got strapped in, while Beast Boy sat with her. The whole ride they were quiet, as the EMTS monitored her symptoms. He would never leave her side. She was his mate. His love. His one. His angel. He was her savior. Her love. Her light. Her promise of happiness.
