Trying Times

Congratulations Are In Order

"Congratulations Mr. And Mrs. Logan, on the birth of your adorable twin boy and girl." said a cheerful Dr. Shields as he left the room. He gave her til the next day and then the happy family could go home.
Raven, in a hospital gown, was sitting up in her hospital bed. She wouldn't lie, it hurt giving birth to two babies. "Beast Boy did a great job not fainting" she chuckled to herself, getting out of the bed. Beast Boy was asleep on the small couch in the room, TV remote in hand. She pulled a sheet overtop him, kissed his forehead and walked over to the Baby Ward.
The Baby Ward had 4 babies sleeping soundly she just couldn't help to smile at their innocent faces. Her two were awake but eating with a nurse. Raven felt bad for not breastfeeding, but for some reason she hasn't produced any milk yet. Her daughter,Leilah, had her grey skin tone, green hair like her father and Raven's deep blue wide eyes. While her brother, Dillon, had his father's appearance; green skin and eyes and Raven's indigo hair color. Both babies had Beast Boy's toothy grin. She was curious on what powers would demon/human/shapeshifter combined babies would processed. And how scary they might be if in the wrong hands. "Think if Slade were still alive how he'd be after them."
"Mama it's alright." Beast Boy whispered as he came up behind Raven. She was busy in thought and didn't feel him come up. Looking very tired, he snuggled his wife, wrapping his arms around her waist. She winced in pain. Her body wasn't still healed fully. She tried to heal herself, but the doctor told her to save her energy for the twins. He, on the other hand, had to fight for the both of them and lacking sleep, helped deliver their twins safely into the world that cool morning.
"I'm sorry," she whispered back, "I just am worried."
"No one is alive anymore who'd take them." he softly relied.
"Guess you're right."she turned around to face him.
Laying into his shoulder they looked at their beautiful twins with amazement.
"Told you, we'd have beautiful kids because their mother is the most beautiful woman in the world." Beast Boy exclaimed.
"If you look closely, they both look a lot like you, Leilah has my eyes and skin tone while Dillon has only my hair and you are written all over him." She laughed back.
"Well they still are beautiful. When can we all go home? I can't wait to sleep in a bed!" He groaned.
"The doctor said tomorrow. He wants to make sure we are all healthy. "
