Chapter 14: Halloween Party

TYLER POV:
I arrive at Josh's house 15 minutes later. I walk up the sidewalk, and step up onto the cement steps. I knock on the door.
Josh gives me a quick smile. We do our special handshake, and Josh nods for me to come in.
"You must be Tyler!" Josh's mom tells me.
"Yeah. Hello Mrs. Dun" I say shaking a bit.
"Oh, you don't have to call me that! Call me mom!" She says smiling.
"O-oh o-okay" I say giving a weak smile.
Josh and I start to walk upstairs.
"Wait wait! Pictures!! Back up against the wall, so I can get a good one!" She says holding up her camera.
Josh puts his arm around me, and I try to smile. Josh looks over, and sees how sad I really am. He plants a kiss on my lips, and a smile approaches.
"1-2-3 *CLICK* Okay! One more! Here why don't you guys sit on the couch!" She tells us. Josh hands her his phone, and she takes the picture on his.
Josh cuddles me, and I close my eyes and smile.
*CLICK*
"Thanks mom!" Josh says taking the phone back from her.
Josh comes back to the couch, and we both stare at the photo. I stare hard at my face. I'm smiling.
"Ty!! Aww you're so cute!" He hugs me.
I flash a smile. Josh takes my hand, and leads me to the kitchen. He grabs a bag of Cheetos out of the cabinet, and takes me into the front yard. People are in the pool, and at least 20 people are dancing on the lawn.
"Wanna dance?" Josh asks me.
"I-I don't really know how to.." I blush a bit.
A slow song comes on, and Josh tells me:
"Here.. I'll show you." He takes my hand, and starts to step forward. I try to follow the best I can.

JOSH POV:
Just take it slow Josh. Take it slow. He looks like he's enjoying himself.
I direct Tyler one way, and he steps on my foot causing him to say:
"oh my gosh! I'm so sorry josh." he says looking flustered.
"no, no you're fine."
5 minutes later, Tyler's clumsiness sets in again, and he trips over my foot, causing us to both fall onto the ground.

I grab the sides of Tyler's jaw, and press our lips together.
the kiss lasts about 5 seconds.
I pull away, leaving Tyler blushing uncontrollably, and him kissing me back.
people applaud causing Tyler to smile and I press our foreheads together.
after the applause dies down, I take Tyler's hand, grab the bag of Cheetos and lead him to the tree house.
