It All Changed-Chapter 8

Chapter 8-

Louis could swear the entire world froze just to let him stare upon that moment.

Upon Harry's lips on Matty's.

And when he snapped back into reality, he let out an involuntary sob and Harry pulled away, forcing Matty from him.

"L-Louis..." Harry panted and looked at him with scared eyes.

Luca had by now turned around to look at her father who was standing a little ways away from them both. Though, she didn't manage to see either of them kissing.

"Daddy!" She smiled excitedly and kicked around. 

Louis hesitated but held her tightly. 

"I can't believe you," he grumbled to his husband.

"I didn't kiss him," Harry spoke. "Matty kissed me first."

"You didn't seem to pull away," Louis retorted angrily.

"But...Louis, don't you trust me?"

"You were kissing him! How...how can I trust you if you've kissed him."

"Matty kissed me," Harry yelled.

Luca hid her face into her father's throat. 

"But-"

"Oh, just shut up, Louis."

The married couple stopped arguing and turned to Matty, Louis with an angry but sad look in his eyes. Harry definitely matched him.

"You don't deserve a boy this perfect," Matty stubbornly growled. Louis had never heard that tone come from the happy-go-lucky man.

"W-what...?"

"Harry is perfect. And you yelling at him...well. It obviously means that you don't love him." Matty crossed his arms over his chest. "He kissed me, and he liked it. He loved it. And I love him. I love Harry. He should be with me, not a fat arse like you with a kid who's holding him back."

"Don't talk to Louis like that," Harry growled. 

"We know that you loved it, Harry," Matty smiled in the most genuine way possible. "Don't deny it."

Louis could feel his cheeks becoming wet. "W-why, Harry," he questioned, his voice airy due to the lump in his throat.

Harry's eyes were glazed over. He opened his mouth to speak, but Louis just shook his head.

"Forget it," he said. "I knew that this fairytale world I want to live in wasn't true."

He hitched Luca up on his hip a but before turning and walking out.

Louis turned for a second and caught a glimpse of Matty trying to comfort Harry by rubbing his shoulder and going to hug him. Harry pushed him away blindly, though, staring after Louis.

As he made his way outside, Louis headed to his car and put Luca in the backseat. He secretly hoped for Harry to run out after him, but after waiting at least a good five minutes, the curly-haired boy was a no show.

With a heavy heart, a deep sigh, and teary eyes, Louis hopped into the drivers' seat and started the engine, closing his eyes for a moment before regaining enough energy to begin driving.

"Papa..."

Luca's worrisome voice sounded not five minutes into the drive.

"Where we goin'?"
