Chapter 10-

(A/N: Sorry I'm speeding ahead. All I'm gonna say is this: It's not even Christmas!)

(Before moving on, Is there anything that I can do to make this story a bit more dramatic? I know what I'm gonna do for the last story, so yeah. But I feel like there needs to be something else...Anyone have any ideas?)

December twenty-fourth...

Louis was awoken on a chilly December morning by a small hand prodding his arm. He groaned deeply and turned over, supporting his tummy. The baby had moved down a bit, heading for birthing position and that was only making Louis A, anxious, and B, uncomfortable when he sat. If it was bad now, Louis was sure to be sitting awkwardly when the baby finally settled there, sitting as if he were between his legs.

"Papa," a tiny voice whispered.

Louis squeezed his eyes tightly, taking a deep breath before opening his eyes.

Luca sat before him on her knees staring intently at him. Harry was no where in sight.

"Hi, sweetie," he smiled. He sat up against the headboard and let his daughter settle on his lap. "Where's Daddy?"

"Ma'in' beckfas'," she hummed.

"Yum, what's he making."

"What you want," Luca stated. "It your bir'fay!"

Louis then remembered what the date was.

December twenty-fourth. Christmas Eve, and, in his household, Louis' birthday.

"Happy bir'fay!"

Louis smiled and kissed the little girl on the cheek. "Thank you, Luca."

She hopped off the bed, grabbing a messily wrapped parcel before clambering back onto the duvet. Thrusting the package forward, she gave Louis a toothy smile and shook the box a bit. He took it from her before pulling her into his swollen side. Luca leaned her head against Louis' chest, a tiny fist resting gently on his enlarged tummy.

"What is it," he questioned curiously.

"You have ta open it," Luca exclaimed.

Louis shook his head laughing a little before tearing the paper away. He opened the shoebox that the gift was in to see a homemade card and several drawings.

"Thank you sweetheart," he smiled, kissing Luca's head.

She smiled up at him and craned her neck up to kiss his cheek. Immediately after, Louis watched as Luca leaned down and kissed his belly quickly, rubbing it.

"You ha' to say happy bir'fay to Papa," she whispered to the baby.

In response, the baby kicked a few times, causing both father and daughter to laugh.

"He's saying hi to you, as well, Luca," Louis crooned.

She looked up at her father. "He is?"

"Mmhmm."  He took her hand and placed it just under his belly button. "He loves when you rub right there," Louis explained. "Just like when you were in my belly."

Luca giggled and rubbed the spot gently. "Me?"

Louis nodded. "Yep. When you were in my belly, you used to kick a lot. And I mean a lot. You used to keep me up at night!"

"I sorry..."

"Don't be, babe. You were just trying to get comfy. There's nothing wrong with that. But when you got really excited and would kick about loads, I would rub right there and it would seem to calm you down some. Or Daddy would do it."
