Chapter 8/Distractions

I told my friends that I've made the cheer team and they were all happy for me!

     Coach Kacie gave us the schedule for this month and everyday we have practice. That is gonna suck for me then. At 11:00 o'clock at night Conner texted me on snapchat and said he made the basketball team and he can't wait to see me cheer for him when he plays. I texted I can't wait either.

Next day....

     I woke up and it was cheer practice so I got dressed and everything. I headed out the door and my mom was waiting to take me and I saw someone else in the car and it wasn't my dad. I looked and it was Conner in the car and in my head I was like freaking out like why is he in my mom's car and I was in my sports bra and spandex, cheer shoes with bow. I opened the door and I asked him "Why are you here?" He said "because I want to." I was like "oh."

     I walked into cheer and all the girls came up to me and asked if I was dating him. I was thinking what are they taking about. Then a girl named Kalani said "You guys are goals!" I said "What are you talking about?" She said "Aren't you dating Conner?!?" I said sternly "No, I don't think it's gonna work out."

     After 2 hours later I was done with cheer practice. I actually told my mom I was gonna walk home because it was nice out. As I was walking I saw Conner walking as well. I called out to him and jogged across the street to me. I said "I don't think this is gonna work out." He was so confused. I said "I think we should take a brake for a little while." Now he knew what I was talking about.  He said "Why?" I said back "I think boys right now are a distraction to me and it's messing up my cheerleading. Are you okay with this can we still be best friends?" He said "No." I said oh and said bye and walked away. I felt so bad that I broke his heart but I think it was the right thing to do on my part.

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while but I couldn't think of anything to write about. So for my next chapter I need some suggestions to comment them!!
