There sitting on the old wooden porch at the Smith’s house was a strange boy, around Desiree’s age. He had dirty blonde hair from what I could see because he had his back facing us. He was just sitting their Indian style staring at the door. I wondered if this was the Hayden guy Samson and Dez were talking to on her phone.

I looked over at Lenny and he gave me the same questioning look. I shrugged and grabbed Dez’s phone from out of the consol and hopped out of the car. I walked up the creaky steps of the old porch that looked quite ratty compared to their nice house, “Um... may I help you?” I asked the boy on the porch.

He looked at me and his eyes were an amazingly dark brown. They were soft but looked creepy at the same time, “Yes you can. My names Hayden and I’m wondering if this house is occupied by Desiree Smith.” He stood up and brushed some dust off his simple jeans.

“I don’t know who you’re talking about because I’m sure my brother lives here,” I lied, “Are you sure you have the right address?” I asked, people say I’m a really good liar but I’ve practiced it a lot, growing up where I did.

“Look, lady, I don’t know if you’re lying or not but I want answers, and now.” I saw a blade in his hand that wasn’t there before. The light from the sun reflected off it and into my eyes. I just smirked and grabbed his wrist, twisting it back in the ‘chicken wing’ position and grabbed the small knife from his hand. I pulled his wrist up further, just enough for a fair bit of pain but not enough to break his arm. He cried out in pain and made feeble attempts to struggle out of my strong hold. Being a breaker, you have to be strong to hold your weight in some complicated moves.

“Look, boy,” I started, mocking what his said earlier, “I suggest you leave this Desiree alone and this house and me and get lost.” I kept up the act anyways, even though I didn’t have to. I shoved him and he fell to the ground, losing his balance. He grabbed his shoulder and whimpered. I glared at him and knocked on the door, shouting, “Sammie? It’s me Summer,” I stood back a little and waited for someone to open the door for me. A couple of seconds later, Desiree opened the door a tiny bit and peeked out,

“Is he still here?” She asked in a whisper, her eyes darting around then landing on my leg. She grimaced at it then smiled, “Don’t worry, a couple of trips to the beach and a good waxing and it’ll look good as new,” She reassured me and opened the door a little bit more so she could stick her head out and look around. She gasped when she saw Hayden on the ground and was about to shut the door on me but I quickly stopped her, opening the door a bit more so I could slip inside. I shut the door behind me and turned to Dez,

“What the...” I questioned her; curious as to why this guy is stalking her.

“Long story,” She sighed, obviously tired of him and would give anything to get him off her back. We both jumped when someone knocked on the door. I opened it and was about to punch him in the face when I realised it wasn’t him, but a blonde mop head guy, “RYAN!”  Desiree shouted and ran to this Ryan guy, giving him a massive hug. He laughed and hugged her back, “When did you get here?” She asked. That’s when I noticed he had two large suitcases next to him and Hayden had a black eye, looking unconscious on the ground. I chuckled and tapped Desiree on the shoulder,

“Yeah, Dez I just came to drop off your phone that you left at our place,” I passed her the phone, “I’ll see you later.” I smiled at Ryan and her and walked past them to the car, where Lenny was waiting impatiently. I was just about to get to the car when Lenny shouted out, getting out of the car with the saddest, most devastated expression on his face. I gave him a questioning look and that’s when I felt something hard hit my head really hard and that’s when I blacked out...
