I was staring at the deep dark blue sky with the stars shining brightly. "You again." I heard someone say. I looked for where the voice came from. I saw a boy sitting inches from me, talking to the stars. The tall tree was blocking my view of him. He stood up. He never knew I was there. I sighed, smiled and "Bye." I said to the stars. There's this one big star, bigger than the others. I took my sling bag and left.
I live alone in a country house in Sutton Coldfield, United Kingdom. As soon as I got home, I greeted my dog, Jessie. "Hey, Jess." I sighed. I took off my bag and placed it on the sofa. I removed my shoes, put it on my green shoe rack and read my favorite book, "Til I Found You" by Gaile Hawthorne. I was finally reading the last words of the book. "Til I found you." Vince and Liz said in unison. I closed the book and sighed. "I'm excited to fall inlove." I whispered.
The doorbell suddenly rang. The rain started falling. Jessie started barking. I opened our small wooden gate. I blinked for a second. "Uhm, excuse me, who are you?" I asked. He looks really familiar. "Here." he said as he handed me a present together with a long letter. "What's this?" I asked. "From your parents." The guy said. Of course I was really shocked. "My parents are DEAD!" What the hell is he saying?! He smiled and left. Hell, did he really just walk out on me?! I kept on thinking when I realized that the rain isn't stopping so I went up the stairs.
I opened the gift. 'Twas a necklace that says my name. I finally read the letter:
To our dearest Audrey,
We are truly sorry for not telling you the truth. We didn't
die in a car crash. We told your grand-mère to tell we did for you
not to find and worry about us. We're in Paris, France for the meantime.
We promise you that when we are finally ready, we are going back
there in United Kingdom to see you, hug you and kiss you! We will
always love you, darling!
Mère&Père
I tried my best to not shed tears but it just keeps on falling. I'll just sleep it off.
The next day...
I woke up with the sound of the birds chirping. I don't know why I wake up with the light sounds of my surroundings. I yawned, stretched my arms and sat on my bed. I looked to my right and saw the letter once again. I ate my breakfast, took a bath and rode a bike to the market.
"Good morning Minerva, how much are the fishes again?" I asked Minerva, the vendor. "For now, it's 8.728 pounds, my dear." I looked at my wallet. "Oh, it got more expensive." Minerva smirked. I gave her the money and left hurriedly when I tripped over a rock.
