Michael's P.O.V.

I moved my fingers to C# as Calum started singing his lines while watching the girls talked. And, as if on cue, Michelle's head shot up, looking at Calum, with bright eyes.

I glanced at Calum and shook my head, smirking. He was looking at her in a flirting matter, as if he's singing to her - the same thing always. And he'd been doing that even before the two of them made it official.

This boy knows his moves, I thought, I'm basically like a proud brother to him.

I've known Calum for as long as I can remember. When everyone thought I was nothing but just another weirdo, he came up to me and decided "hey, let's be friends!" Clingy as I may sound, but if it wasn't for him, I would have been keeping my anxiety all to myself - because he helped me a lot with that.

We do almost everything together. We accept each other's difference and work things out. You can say we're like brothers. And I love to have him as my real brother. We have this bond tighter than anyone else. Even tighter than mine and Luke's or Luke and Calum's. Let alone Ashton as he was the last one to join the group.

"Oy!" Ashton yelled over the sound of his drums as Calum started chuckling. His face was the shade of red.

Oh for the love of Christ, I thought, laughing.

Michelle looked away from him with her cheeks as red as his and locked eyes with me. She stuck her tongue out at me as I beamed at her.

I have to admit, I do like her. At least, I used to like her a lot before. I mean, who wouldn't like her? I knew that Calum liked her way back then - it was love at first sight - but he tried to hide that when they became close. Even Shawn likes her but she started hanging out with us. Well, she's too soft and smart for his likings anyway. And she's basically like one of the wannabes only she'd be the nicest one among them if she ever hangs out with them.

I would be lying if I say I didn't try hitting on her. Well, I did tried. But Calum is head over heels about her and I didn't want to intervene.

But, these days, it's different. I still like her but the affections are less. She's Calum's girlfriend and I respect that. Hell, Calum is like a brother to me, as I said, why the hell would I even think of hitting on her anymore.

I only like her as my sister. Nothing more.

But, the thing is no one seems to believe that.

Ashton talked to me about it twice - he was worried that it could ruin our friendship. Even Calum talked to me. And, honestly, if Michelle wasn't there, it would have been a complete mess.

Michelle doesn't seem to bother. She trust me and she knows her boundaries, anyway. She ignores me when she knows it wouldn't be fair to Calum, and I understand and respect her for that.

But Luke is the hardest one. He always finds every single gesture I do as a sign of affection for her. I'm not mad. But it's just crazy when they do that. Like, man, can't two opposite sex be best friends? Well, society loves to bother, I guess.

"Ouch!" I whimpered, as a string snapped and hit me in the chin.

"What the," Luke started, as we stopped playing. "Quit messing around, will you?"

"The string snapped," I pointed out, showing him.

"You know what, it's whatever," he shrugged, pushing passed me. "You clearly are not focusing and you intentionally messed up because I'm singing!"

"Oh, wow!" I exclaimed, mocking him. I followed him and asked, "so, you're point?"

"Your voice sucks that's why you don't get to sing too much," he snapped. Then he glanced at Michelle before looking back at me as he hissed; "get your own life. Things that are taken are taken and are not meant to be shared. Especially a person."

"Michael," Michelle interrupted. She was now standing beside him, looking at me worriedly. "You're bleeding."

I reached at my chin then looked down at my hand where a drop of blood was sitting.

"I'm fine," I said calmly.

"Let me---"

She tried to reach for me but was taken aback as I shouted. "I said I'm fine!"

"Michael!" Calum yelled, shooting me daggers. Of course, he'd defend her, no guy would like their girlfriend to be shouted at by someone for no reason.

"I'm," she muttered. "I'm sorry. I was just..."

I sighed. I walked towards and pulled her for a quick hug. "No, I'm sorry. I'm just... I'm just a little stress."

What am I doing?

"You know how Ms. Sue is with me," I chuckled, pulling away and cupping her cheeks. A smiled appeared on her. "She always gives me a hard time without even doing anything."

"You're a dumbass," she rolled her eyes, laughing.

"Gee, thanks," I said sarcastically. And without thinking twice and not caring that everyone around us were listening closely, I said; "hey, listen. No matter what happens, I'll always be here for you. When you need a shoulder to cry on or a ride to school when Calum is not around."

"Hey, when was I not around?" Calum protested, pouting.

"Hush! We're having a best friends' moment. Shut up!" I called, chuckling. I continued, "you can count on me. Let's dye each others' hair and play Fifa. Well, we can't play Fifa without Calum 'cause that would make him sad. But let's eat pizza all day and get really bored, I don't care. I love you. You're the best among the best best friend I ever have."

"I thought I am your best friend?" Calum interrupted again.

Michelle looked at him, eyeing him. Then she looked back at me, smiling, and said, "I love you, too, Mikey."

"Told you you should have dyed your hair red instead," I said, crinkling my nose at her. "Now we're no longer twinsies."

"Let's dye blue next time," she offered, beaming at me. I nodded happily. "You sure you don't want me to fix that?"

I shook my head. "No, I'm fine. I have to go anyway. I'll see you around."

I planted a soft kiss on her forehead before I turned around to look at the boys.

"Ashton, Calum," I said, nodding at them. Then I locked eyes with Luke but said nothing, before I smiled at Delilah. "Dey dey."

"I told you not," she frowned.

"It's cute," I laughed. "I'll see you guys around."

-----------------------------------------

A/N: I hope it's s clear that Michael doesn't like Michelle, okay? I mean, at least not anymore ever since her and Calum became official. He respects the bro code. He just feels hurt when the boys accused him of still hitting on her when his intentions are clean.

Also, on the last chapter, I mentioned about having missionary parents and religion stuff. Hey, I'm not against them or anything. Our family actually serves at church. Delilah's P.O.V. was inspired of an old friend of mine who has missionary parents. I just remember her telling me how different she feels and how she wants to stay at one place but was always moving for a new mission. Oh, and she gets to stay now in one place, last time I've heard from her.
