Bella~

i sat at the table staring at my food wasn't that hungry or maybe i was and last nights events just had me to shaken to eat anything "do you want me to heat that up?" embry asked "no you just got home a few minutes ago i think you should take a break" he looked at me confused "superman doesn't take any breaks" i smiled "well superman should" he shook his head "nope to much crime. if i took a break all of humanity would be doomed" i just smiled "are you done with that?" he looked at the empty plate and nodded. i stood up and grabbed the dish and then mine and scraped them clean and set them in the sink "Bella you seem distant" he said while following me "like?" he tilted his head at me with his eyebrows raised "you stared at a dish of leftovers as if you were waiting for it to say something" i looked down "I've just had a lot on my mind. with thanksgiving past us and Christmas right around the corner i'm just stressed i guess. i feel like something's gonna happen" i laid "bella" he said in a low soothing voice as he wrapped me in his tight grasp "you have nothing to worry about. everything will be fine. what could possibly go wrong?" i sighed. so much could go wrong..i heard a playful "awe" at the door as Paul walked in 'isn't thin cute?" embry sighed and let go "hello bitc-" i elbowed him in the gut before he could finish. he cleared his throat "paul" embry said while shooting him a fake cheesy smile "hello love. did you miss me?" paul said while walking towards us "hmm let me think about this..nope. no i don't think i did" Paul rolled his eyes "well i know for a fact bella did" he said while looking down at me. i glared at him for a minute. embry snorted "yeah i'm sure" Paul raised his eyebrows "she was missing me before i even left" i felt my cheeks burn red "what the hell are you talking about?" embry asked "last night when you were strung out on drugs"embry looked down at me "bella. what's he talking about?" i shook my head "last night you took something and you put bella in danger. then you reacted bad to the drugs" paul said in a stern voice "you had a seizure after taking them embry" embry looked down. still holding onto my tightly "bella.." he said while looking up at me "did.." i nodded my head before he had the chance to finish "embry" i said while raising my hand towards his face "Leah may i have a moment alone with embry?" paul asked while tilting his head to the side. i looked back to embry. he nodded his his head reassuring me that it was okay and i exited the room.

i watched as bella left the room before turning to paul. he was looking at me with a blank face and i knew exactly what was coming "what the hell were you thinking?!" he yelled "what the hell could have made you want to do that? you have a perfect life perfect family everything is good for you and you go and screw it up like that!" i looked down "you are so fucking stupid! what if she hadn't come to check on you? you could've choked to death on your own damn vomit embry you could be dead!" i knew bella could hear his yelling and i didn't want her to come in to investigate "paul.." i began but was quickly cut off "no embry! no. give me one good reason why i shouldn't go tell sam all about your stupid stunt!" i sighed 'please paul i wasn't thinking" he laughed "you're damn right you weren't...what if bell hadn't got to the phone or what if you hadn't gone in a seizure and instead you hurt bella?" i looked down again not able to keep eye contact with him "you disgust me sometimes did you know that? why would you buy those? we are trying to minimize the drug problem around here not support it" i raised my eyebrows "you're telling me this out of all people?" he rolled his eyes "i was young okay i didn't even know about the wolves then. why did you buy those and where did you find the guy?" i sighed unable to remember anything from that night "i don't know" he shook his head "you don't know?" he repeated "that's fucking terrific..i swear when i find the guy i'm going to kill him" i looked at him for a minute "we have to get going" he said "okay let me tell bella goodbye" he nodded and walked out the door. i walked into the room where bella was waiting "hey babe i have to go" she looked up at me "please be careful embry" i nodded. still feeling guilty for what i had put her through "i will be baby i promise" i said while placing a kiss on her forehead then exiting the room "will you tell nicole i love her?" she nodded with a small smile that i knew she struggled to hold "love you bella" i said while giving her one last glance with eyes that told her how bad i felt and that i was going to make it up to her somehow. i ran exited the room and ran outside to join paul.
