Ed's POV:
So we went and ate with my mum...
"Where's dad?" I asked trying to break the awkward silence that filled the room.
"He should be home soon..." Right as she said that, the front door opened and in came my dad.
"I'm home! Mmm that food smells great!" He walked into the kitchen, kissed my mum's cheek, and grabbed a plate and loaded it with food. "So Ed, who is this lovely girl you brought along?"
"Her name is Taylor... She's my girlfriend. I thought mum would've told you she was coming along."
"Well I guess she forgot." He set down his plate and shook Taylor's hand. "Pleasure to meet you. I hope Ed is being good to you." He winked.
"Oh yes! Ed is amazing. He's such a sweet heart and he has so much talent. I love being with him. He brings happiness to my day." I smiled. I was truly touched by what she just said about me. I kissed her and she smiled.
"Thank you love. You're so sweet." I grabbed her hand from under the table.
"I'm so glad you two are happy together." Mum said and dad nodded his head in agreement.
"If he ever steps out of line, tell me." My dad said jokingly.
"Oh thanks dad!" I laughed.
"I'm sure he won't. He's perfect..." I looked at her. "Well as close as they come anyways." She winked at me.
We ate our food the rest of the time. It was practically silent, except for the wind outside rustling the trees and the occasional car that pasted by. We lived on a quiet street.
Taylor's POV:
"Thank you so much Mrs. Sheeran! The food was amazing! I loved it!" I stood up with my plate and walked to the sink to wash it off and put it in the dishwasher.
"Oh no honey! Let me get that! You're a guest!" Mrs. Sheeran jumped up from the table and grabbed it out of my hands. I hesitated before letting her take it.
"Are you sure?" I was unsure about it.
"Completely! You and Ed go have fun. Ed maybe you could take her to that park or you could go somewhere fun!"
Ed stood up and handed the plate to his mom. He then joined me by the front door and grabbed my hand. We decided to go the park and Ed assured me that it wasn't too far.
Ed didn't know how to drive, so technically we had to walk unless I drove one of his parents cars... Or they drove us.
"Love, my parents really like you... I can tell."
"Aw! I'm so glad! I was hoping that they would... But I wasn't so sure."
We were in the middle of the street, walking hand in hand. It probably wasn't the smartest decision. We walked more towards the side of the rode instead.
As we walked past the countless number of houses on the street, I touched the pink flowers that were on the trees.
"Ed these flowers are so pretty!" He picked a few and gently put them in my hair.
"There." He grinned at me. "The flowers are pretty, but no where close to how lovely you are."
I felt the pink creep on to my cheeks. "Ed you are so much different than any of the boys I've met... And the ones I've dated."
"You are different than any girl too... I love that you are. You're so beautiful, kind, generous, and you are just so sweet. I didn't even mention you're talent!"
