The aloe dye is made of one ingredient and thats aloe vera. I don't know the exact science behind the reasons why it makes my hair looks blacker when I apply it to my hair using the method that I'll list below, and I've researched but nothing it coming up so far,so for now all that matters is the results.

Whenever my hair is starting to look a little brown/less black than my natural hair colour is I apply aloe to my hair to get it back to being black. Your hair can start getting brown/less black due to exposure to the sun. I don't think it's any thing to worry about but for further confirmation you guys can research it yourself because I maybe wrong.

The aloe doesn't actually dye my hair , it just removes the brown colour and returns it to its natural black colour. I don't use real black dye on my hair because I don't like when my hair appears blacker than its natural blackness.
Warning: when I tried this method it made my hair black but when a friend of my tried it , it gave her hair a nice purple tint colour...so the colour vary between the two.

Method:
Step 1:Get a freshly cut aloe vera leaf.
If you don't have access to the leaf then you can buy the gel whether online or in your local area. However it must be the gel, because the gel is the part we'll actually use.

Step 2: peel the aloe leaf completely then slice the jelly and put it in a dish that has a cover. Cover it and leave it out over night.

Step 3: after shampooing your hair apply the gel that would have formed in the dish on your hair .
The gel may have a purple colour because it's been left out but this does not determine the colour you will get . I still get black hair .

Step 4: apply a steam/shower cap and wait for 30-35 minutes then remove it and rinse out hair with water, whether colds or hot.

You can allow it to stay longer if you want but that's how long I keep my for and I still get great results.
I have only use the fresh aloe leaf to do my hair so I can not say if the aloe gel in the bottle will give you the same results and I cannot run a comparison because I can't get my a hold of the bottled gel.

Another benefit about the aloe dye is that it actually conditions and moisturize your hair. You can still apply conditioner after you do a aloe dye but I just rinse out my hair and then proceeded to detangle and moisturize my hair and add a protective style.

I don't condition my hair because it leaves my hair with a waxy feeling. I really hate it and I've had this problem for years. You see naturals always complaining about their conditioner always finishing before their shampoos well that's not the case for me. My shampoo will be finish and I still have 3/4 worth of conditioner left.

In the next chapter I'll explain what I discovered about  conditioner ingredents that gave my hair that waxy feeling. Thanks to being a product drunky I was able to compare 4 different conditioner to get my results. I'll also share my discover of finding a sulfate shampoo that actually leaves my hair more moistures than any non-sulfate shampoo has.
