Now perviously I've mentioned in a lot of chapters that my hair does not respond well oils, but being the stubborn person that I am, I still wanted to use oils because naturals stretch the importance of oils and it's benefits that it has on the hair. So I experiment and experiment and so far my results have been positive. It took a few trial and error and at one point I wanted to give up but I stuck through it and one day I had a break through.
I first tried the African Pride Olive Miracle Growth Oil , this has all the oils combine into one, and it left my hair dry. So I decided to buy the individual oils. I research and stumbled upon an interesting article about jojoba oil, it said that it is the only oil that is closest to the hair's natural sebum. A light bulb came on in my head. Naturals stretch the importance of preserving the hair's natural sebum and that's why some of them co-wash because shampoo strips sebum. So I decided that this oil would be great to experiment with since I only wash my hair with shampoo. I can make a substitute for the sebum that I have taken away.
Right after I shampoo my hair I treat it and then I style my hair. However I always do the LCO method before styling my hair. I use the jojoba oil and i have been having positive results. It doesn't make my hair dry and it makes my curl keep their hold a little longer ...probably 30 mins more. I haven't seen an improvement in the health of my hair since using this oil but maybe it did make my hair healthier and I just haven't realize it because my hair was already healthy to begin with, I don't know, my hair feels the same to me. However the hair doesn't get dry when I apply the oil and my curl last longer so that's a plus for me.

The second oil that I've experimented with was castor oil. Now this is a very thick oil. That night I was researching coconut oil and I found a video of people pre-pooing. I didn't stay to watch the whole video but basically what I learnt from that one video is that you apply a product to your hair and allow it to sit under a plastic cap for however long you want and then shampoo your hair. I guess this method helps retain moisture even when you shampoo.
I had in twist and it was wash day and I tried taking them down with caster oil but that was a complete failure because my hair felt dry in the end. Then I thought to myself what if I did a pre-poo. I've never tried this method before maybe it will work. I love experimenting on my hair if you guys haven't picked that up by now. My hair was already drenched in castor oil so I just applied the plastic on it. I left it on and removed it when I could not stand the scent of the castor oil being heated on my hair anymore. When I removed it my hair left so soft it amazed because couple minutes ago this same product made my hair feel dry.

I've only experimented with those two oils and I want to try coconut oil but I'm a little bit sketchy about the idea because some articles that I have read said that coconut oil may or may not contain protein ,and with intense protein treatment that I do every six week I do not want anymore additional protein adding to my hair to cause breaking from protein overload. Comment below and tell me how true this statement is of cococnut oil containing protein because I really want to try it.

Every week i do the LCO method on my hair and I have found that it has made my hair stay mositurized during the week and not dry out on the 4th or 5th day, so i will definitely continue to do the LCO method on my hair every week.
