Naptime (Merle and Daryl)

     "Ma!" You hear you're youngest son screaming and crying as he runs into the room. Your (h/l)
(h/c) hair wiped you in the face as you turned to face your hysterical 1 and a half year old. You open your arm as you crouched down, wrapped your arm around his small frame, and picked him up gently. He wrapped his arms around your neck as he continued to bawl his gorgeous blue eyes out.

"Dare, what's wrong baby? Tell mama." You coo as you begin to pace around the room to calm your son down.

"M-Mer." He stuttered. You automatically know it had something to do with your eldest son, Merle. Merle came home from school very frustrated and exhausted, so you wouldn't be surprised if Merle knocked his baby brother over while he was going straight to bed.

"What did he do baby?" You ask gently as you move some of your hair from your son's face.

"Push m' off bed. Hurt." Tears streamed down his face.

"What hurts Dare?" You say in a soft, sweet voice.

"M' arm mama."  You take a look at his right arm and see a huge bruise already starting to form on his forearm. You wipe his tears away and go upstairs with him in your arms.

When you get upstairs you go into your sons' room to see Merle knocked out on his bed. You shake him awake.

"Merle get up."

"What's wrong ma?" He says groggily.

"You pushed your brother off the bed. He has a huge bruise now." You inform him. He looks shocked, that shock turned into guilt quickly as he looked at his baby brother.

"Daryl, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." Daryl eyed his big brother wearily, then leans towards his brother with his arms out stretched. You and Merle both smile as you hand Daryl to Merle. Daryl yawns silently.

"Why don't you two sleep while I make dinner?" I suggest. Daryl is ready falling asleep on his brother, who was smiling down at him.

"Good idea ma." He shifts so they are both laying on the bed. You gently kiss the side of Merle's head and Daryl's forehead. As you walk out you whisper, "Sweet dreams boys."
