"Glenny, sweetheart you have to take a nap." You say gently to your one and a half year old son. He did not like when you lay him down for a nap. He never did. You have been trying to put him down for fifteen minutes straight.

"No!" Glenn yelled. Tears were beginning to appear in his eyes. You hated seeing your baby boy so distressed, but he needed to take his nap. You quickly tried to think of some kind of compromise. After a few seconds, you get an idea.

"Glenny, do you want mommy to sing for you?" You ask. He nods slowly and lays his head on your shoulder.

"Ok sweetheart." You walk to his room and lay him down in his crib. He begins to fuss again thinking you were going to leave him. That's when you start singing one of your favorite songs to sing to him.

Dragon tales and the "water is wide"
Pirate's sail and lost boys fly
Fish bite moonbeams every night
And I love you
Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Sweet dreams

Glenn stopped fussing and his eyes were starting to droop.

The rocket racer's all tuckered out
Superman's in pajamas on the couch
Goodnight moon, will find the mouse
And I love you
Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Sweet dreams
God bless mommy and match box cars
God bless dad and thanks for the stars
God hears "Amen, " wherever we are
And I love you
Godspeed, little man
Sweet dreams, little man
Oh my love will fly to you each night on angels wings
Godspeed
Godspeed
Godspeed
Sweet dreams

By the time you finished singing, Glenn was fast asleep. You smile to yourself and kiss his head softly.

"Have a nice nap Glenny." You say as you leave his room.

(A/n: I am so sorry it took so long guys. School is killing me right now. I hope you enjoy.😁💜)
