Chapter 8 A Dress For The Ball

Lucy's P.O.V

I sneaked out of the mansion to meet with Natsu again. " Lucy, your coming to my ball, right? " Natsu asked.

" Yeah, why? " I asked.

" Because today, I'm taking you inside my castle and my maids can find or make a dress for you. Leave everything to me Princess Lucy. " He said, grabbing my hand. Then we started running.

10 years ago, I was taken into a castle and then they took me and that boy away. I don't want that to happen again. I stopped running, then Natsu looked at me and asked, " Is something the matter, Lucy? "

" I can't come inside your castle. " I said.

" What? Why? " Natsu asked, and I explained to him what happened ten years ago. My mind was filled with thoughts and memories of that boy I met 10 years ago. Natsu hugged me and said, " Don't worry, everything will be fine and it won't happen again. Plus, my dad is away on a trip, so he won't be back in a while. "

" Are you sure? " I asked.

" Yeah, I'm sure! " Then when I looked at him, he was smiling. His smile is contagious that it made me smile too. He took my hand again and we both started running. We arrived at the gates of the castle. It looks like I saw this place before.

" Prince Natsu, who is this girl? " One of the guards at the gate asked.

" She's a friend of mine. And I allow her to come in this castle. " Natsu said. The two guards looked at each other confused, but then they opened the gate anyways.

" Thank you. " Natsu said, as we all walked in.

" Welcome home Prince Natsu. I'm guessing you took a girl with you. " The maid said, opening the door for us.

" She's just a friend. Thank you Virgo. Also, can you gather up the other maids? " Natsu asked.

Natsu's P.O.V

" Yes Prince Natsu. But why? " Virgo asked.

" Tell them to get dresses and take them upstairs to the change room. " I said.

" OK, but I don't think a dress is gonna fit you Prince Natsu. " Virgo said.

" Not me!!! Lucy!!! " I yelled.

" I understand. " Then she left.

" OK, let's go. " I said, walking up the stairs.

" Where are we going? " Lucy asked.

" Don't worry, everything will be fine. Your just gonna try some dresses that will suit you, ok? " I asked.

" Um, okay. " We reached up to the room. And as I opened the door, Virgo and the other maids were there with the dresses. " Lucy, you ready to try on some dresses? " I asked, smiling.

" Um, yeah. I guess. " Lucy said.

" Lucy, I think this dress will really suit you. Please try it on. " One of the maids said, holding a dress and showing her the change room.

" OK. " Lucy said, grabbing the dress from the maid and she entered the change room.

" Prince Natsu, please look away. " Virgo said.

" I am, I am!! " I yelled, turning to a different direction.

" Oh~~ You likeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee her!!!! " Happy said, smiling and laughing.

" So, what do you think? " I turned around.

Lucy was beautiful in it, but...It's missing something.

" You look awesome, but...nah. " I said.

" Is that so. I think it's beautiful. " Lucy said.

" Try this one. " Virgo said, giving Lucy the a different dress. Then I looked away.

" What about this? " I turned around. It looks really nice but...no. " ...nah. " I said.

Then she changed into another dress again.

" What do you think? Is this better? " Lucy asked.

" Well...next. " I said.

Then she changed once again. 

" So what about this? I think it's perfect! Don't you think so, Natsu? " Lucy asked, then I turned around.

The words didn't come out of my mouth. She looked really beautiful in that dress. The dress was pink and it was beautiful. Even her smile was  beautiful . I was speech less.

" So what do you think? Is it bad? Do you want me to change again? " Lucy asked.

" No, no!! It looks...really good on you. That's the dress you should wear to my ball. " I said, smiling.

" Really?! You think so? " Lucy asked.

I nodded.

Virgo put the dress in a bag and she also put a mask to go with the dress. Then I walked Lucy home.

" So your really coming? " I asked.

She nodded.

" OK, see ya! " I said.

" Bye! " Then she entered the mansion and me and Happy walked back to the castle.

" Natsu, when is King Igneel coming back? " Happy asked.

" He said he was gonna come back, the day before my birthday. " I replied.

" Is that so. " Happy said.

" Are you sure that you wanna do this mask ball or whatever? " Happy asked.

" I'm sure of it! " I replied.

" But, what happens if she doesn't come? " Happy asked.

" Let's not think about that. OK, Happy? I wanna stay positive, because mom always says, the more that you are positive, the more your wishes come true. " I said, smiling.

" Mom said that? " Happy asked.

" Yeah. "

" Where is she now? " Happy asked.

" She died a long time ago. " I said.

" Oh, I'm sorry for asking. " Happy said.

" It's okay. "

" Natsu, look what I found. " Happy said, holding a photo.

" What is it? " I walked over to him.

" It's a picture of me, you and that girl 10 years ago. " Happy said.

" What? Let me see. " Then I grabbed the photo.

I looked at it and it was a picture of me, Happy and that girl I met 10 years ago. And that girl that I was holding hands with (in the picture), looked exactly like Lucy.

" Yeah, your right Happy. And the girl...looks exactly Lucy. " I said.

It's a week away from the mask ball. I can't wait! Apparently, I just found out who was that boy I met 10 or 12 years ago.

" Lucy, I think that girl I met 10 years ago, was you. " Natsu said.

" How? " I asked.

" I found this picture of me and that girl, 10 years ago. And that girl, looks exactly like you. " Natsu said.

My eyes widen. What?! No way! It was Natsu?!
